Above, an immature male, 4th September 2012, on a bridge near Juan Hombron ricefields. Same location and date for the 3 Dave Smallshire's photos, on the right; a mature male, and the anal appendages of the same immature male.
  It looks like Hetaerina miniata, but it lacks the prérostigmas and the inferior anal appendages are much longer.
Size: around 45 mm.
  
  Habitat: streams in forest or more opened areas as here!
  
  Distribution: central America and most part of South America.
