Libellules de Cuba
Une quinzaine de jours d’un voyage touristique, plut\u00f4t \u00ab\u00a0culturel\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e0 Cuba, en novembre, m’ont permis de rencontrer une petite quinzaine d’odonates, dont quelques esp\u00e8ces que je ne connaissais pas encore. Ce nombre est tr\u00e8s d\u00e9cevant, et j’ai compris \u00e0 posteriori ce que l’on m’avait dit avant mon d\u00e9part : \u00ab\u00a0que les odonates de Cuba se m\u00e9ritent\u00a0\u00bb.
Une esp\u00e8ce est particuli\u00e8rement remarquable, un Orthemis rouge ressemblant \u00e0 O. ferruginea ou \u00e0 O. discolor, qui est connu depuis (tr\u00e8s) longtemps et que personne n’a encore pris la peine de d\u00e9crire de fa\u00e7on formelle.

Malgr\u00e9 une nature tropicale, j’ai approch\u00e9 tr\u00e8s peu de cours d’eau ou de pi\u00e8ces d’eau ; il faut certainement s’avancer dans le Cuba rural, dans le centre du pays, celui que les autorit\u00e9s ne tiennent pas \u00e0 montrer, dans un pays tristement en voie d’appauvrissement acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9.

Le nombre d’esp\u00e8ces connues en 2018 s’\u00e9levait \u00e0 88, je n’ai pas trouv\u00e9 de liste plus r\u00e9cente que celle qui figure dans ce document : Las lib\u00e9lulas de Cuba: una actualizaci\u00f3n taxon\u00f3mica 10 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
