Dragonflies of Mexico \u2013 Mexican Odonates
A dozen days of a classic tourist trip to Mexico at the end of October 2019 allowed me to photograph about 25 species of odonates. This is not many considering that there are 357 species in this country, but my visits rarely brought me near rivers or bodies of water. In the tropical part that I visited, the smallest pond or pool is still home to dragonflies.
I only encountered very common species, most of which I had already seen elsewhere, except for 2 or 3 less frequent ones, such as a Heteragrion or a Paltothemis.
