L’\u00e9ternel probl\u00e8me des odonates m\u00e2les, ici la Na\u00efade aux yeux bleus, est la raret\u00e9 apparente des femelles. Aussi tentent-ils de ravir les femelles des play-boys qui ont su en s\u00e9duire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils tournent autour des couples en ponte, et souvent ils agressent le m\u00e2le, attaquant ses ailes, et\/ou se posent sur la femelle.
Sur ces photos on note un m\u00e2le dont l’abdomen est profond\u00e9ment enfonc\u00e9 dans l’eau ; il faut imaginer que sa femelle est en ponte, encore plus profond\u00e9ment et ici, elle est difficile \u00e0 apercevoir. Voil\u00e0 la bonne solution pour que la femelle ne soit pas distraite !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ils se posent sur les ailes de la femelle et souvent remontent le long vers le thorax pour tenter d’accrocher leurs appendices anaux au cou (prothorax) de la femelle, \u00e0 la place du m\u00e2le qui s’y trouve…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les 3 photos ci-dessus repr\u00e9sentent une premi\u00e8re s\u00e9quence et quelques secondes plus tard, ci-dessous, un autre m\u00e2le passe \u00e0 l’attaque. Il a commenc\u00e9 par tirer le m\u00e2le violemment en arri\u00e8re, en attrapant ses ailes, puis s’est pos\u00e9 sur celles de la femelle.
Noter sur ces photos la femelle en ponte, seule, sous l’eau, dans le coin inf\u00e9rieur gauche de la photo, d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sente sur les photos pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes, mais peu visible…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et alors m\u00eame qu’un m\u00e2le pos\u00e9 sur la femelle tente de la d\u00e9tourner de sa ponte pour s’accoupler, les autres continuent \u00e0 harceler le m\u00e2le chanceux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On note qu’entre ces 2 derni\u00e8res photos (47 secondes) la femelle en ponte sous l’eau a disparu. Elle s’est laiss\u00e9 remonter comme un bouchon et a aussit\u00f4t \u00e9t\u00e9 attrap\u00e9e par un m\u00e2le (2 se sont pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9s dessus) qui l’a emport\u00e9e dans les airs pour s’accoupler.

Les photos ci-dessous montrent ce qu’il arrive \u00e0 une femelle que son m\u00e2le a abandonn\u00e9 ; alors qu’elle est consciencieusement en train de pondre, son abdomen presque totalement immerg\u00e9, un autre m\u00e2le vient la capturer et l’entra\u00eene pour s’accoupler.
La technique est simple… le m\u00e2le s’abat sur la femelle, cramponne la t\u00eate avec ses pattes, replie son abdomen pour capturer le pronotum avec ses cerco\u00efdes (bien visibles, ouverts en pince, sur la 3\u00b0 photo) puis d\u00e9colle pour un endroit plus calme pour s’accoupler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La s\u00e9quence a dur\u00e9 exactement 3 secondes, puis le couple a d\u00e9coll\u00e9 et s’est perdu dans les aulnes qui bordent l’\u00e9tang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
