Lamelligomphus camelus a \u00e9t\u00e9 une des stars de notre s\u00e9jour parce qu’il est spectaculaire, assez abondant et facile \u00e0 approcher. 
On est tout de suite frapp\u00e9 par ses appendices anaux, une \u00e9norme pince aussi volumineuse que la t\u00eate enti\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit par Ren\u00e9 Martin en 1904 qui a inventori\u00e9 les odonates de la collection Pavie du Tonkin, sous le nom de Onychogomphus camelus. Pour R. Martin, cette esp\u00e8ce montrait un caract\u00e8re unique sous la forme de \u00ab\u00a02 \u00e9normes mamelons, un de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l’ar\u00eate<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb sur le 8\u00b0 segment. Peut-\u00eatre, c’est une supposition personnelle, a-t-il donn\u00e9 le nom de camelus<\/em> pour cette raison. 
Malheureusement<\/em>, on sait maintenant qu’il partage cette particularit\u00e9 avec un autre sujet du sud Yunnan (Chine),  Lamelligomphus annakarlorum Zhang, Yang & Cai, 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il mesure environ 67 mm, et se pla\u00eet sur les rochers ou les rameaux lui permettant de surveiller son territoire, dans les rivi\u00e8res des zones montagneuses, en for\u00eat. Tous ces sujets ont \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9s sur une rivi\u00e8re proche de Cao Bang<\/a>, tout au nord du Vietnam, juste au sud du Guangxi chinois, \u00e0 269 m d’altitude, sur une rivi\u00e8re calme<\/a> d’une quinzaine de m\u00e8tres de large au fond rocailleux et au lit par endroit encombr\u00e9 de rochers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On le rencontre au Laos, dans le sud de la Chine dont les deux provinces au nord du Vietnam, le Guangxi et le Yunnan et bien s\u00fbr au Vietnam.
