Nous n’avons rencontr\u00e9 Ischnura rubilio (ex Ischnura aurora) qu’\u00e0 deux reprises et je n’ai gard\u00e9 que quelques photos prises \u00e0 Xuan Son, car le manque de soleil les rendaient bien tristes. Et surtout, j’avais plus longuement et pos\u00e9ment rencontr\u00e9 cette esp\u00e8ce au Laos<\/a> surtout et au Rajasthan<\/a> (Inde). C’est d’ailleurs apr\u00e8s le Rajasthan que j’ai appris qu’on devait l’appeler I. rubilio et non plus I. aurora r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 l’esp\u00e8ce australo-pacifique.
Il mesure 16 \u00e0 20 mm, on le trouve pr\u00e8s des mares, des foss\u00e9s ou m\u00eame des flaques d’eau, dans les herbes, parfois avec des Agriocnemis.\u00a0
Il y a beau y avoir de fortes diff\u00e9rences g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques entre les esp\u00e8ces du sous-continent indien et celles australo pacifiques, je n’ai pas trouv\u00e9 de limites pr\u00e9cises \u00e0 son aire de r\u00e9partition et il semble que tout ce qui est \u00e0 l’ouest de la ligne de Wallace soit \u00e0 classer avec Ischnura rubilio.

Ischnura vient du grec\u00a0ischnos<\/em>\u00a0pour\u00a0fin<\/em>\u00a0ou\u00a0mince<\/em>\u00a0et de\u00a0oura<\/em>\u00a0qui signifie\u00a0queue<\/em>. Charpentier explique qu\u2019il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce nom en raison de la finesse exceptionnelle de l\u2019abdomen (sans doute en comparaison du genre Calopteryx, d\u2019apr\u00e8s Fliedner (2006), car elle n\u2019a pour nous rien d\u2019\u00e9tonnant en soi).
Rubilio, vraisemblablement du latin ruber, rouge, pour souligner les pt\u00e9rostigmas rouges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
