Je n’ai qu’une seule photo de cette femelle Sinosticta debra (Platystictidae), je n’ai pas eu d’autre chance pour faire mieux\u00a0 \u2639.

L’esp\u00e8ce a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crite par Wilson & Xu, 2007 dans\u00a0International Journal of Odonatology<\/em> 10(1) 2007: 87-128, pls I-VIII (1), et ils ont ainsi ajout\u00e9 une quatri\u00e8me esp\u00e8ce \u00e0 ce genre. Les auteurs y expliquent que\u00a0le nom d’esp\u00e8ce a \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9 en l’honneur de la regrett\u00e9e\u00a0Debra Lynn Wilson, s\u0153ur de Keith Wilson, un des auteurs.\u00a0
D\u00e9tail plus curieux, il explique que la terminaison ae<\/em> qui qualifie le genre f\u00e9minin n’a volontairement pas \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9, car le mot latin debrae<\/em> se prononce en anglais presque de la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on que debris<\/em>, qui signifie en anglais la m\u00eame chose qu’en fran\u00e7ais.

Le m\u00e2le mesure approximativement 60 mm, et l’IUCN n’est pas vraiment \u00e0 jour concernant sa distribution puisqu’elle y reste limit\u00e9e \u00e0 la province chinoise du Guangdong, province o\u00f9 elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crite. Ceci restait vrai jusqu’en avril 2014 ou Tom Kompier l’a d\u00e9couverte \u00e0 Xuan Son.
Entre le Guangdong et cette localisation (pourtant proche d’Hano\u00ef, 100 km, et il est donc \u00e9tonnant que l’esp\u00e8ce soit rest\u00e9e si longtemps ignor\u00e9e) la distance est importante<\/a> et il serait peu \u00e9tonnant qu’on rencontre un jour l’esp\u00e8ce au Guangxi, si ce n’est pas d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait.
