Dans le Maine et Loire et la plupart des d\u00e9partements fran\u00e7ais l’identification de Sympetrum striolatum ne pose g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas de probl\u00e8me tant qu’on parvient \u00e0 voir la face. En effet, S. striolatum et vulgatum sont assez ressemblants, mais S. vulgatum porte de fortes marques noires entre le front et les yeux. Sur une vue dorsale, on est assez d\u00e9muni
Dans le nord de l’Europe l’esp\u00e8ce est assez commune et les odonatologues ont remarqu\u00e9 un d\u00e9tail \u00e9lev\u00e9 au rang de crit\u00e8re tant il est constant\u00a0: pour Sympetrum striolatum si les implantations thoraciques ant\u00e9rieures<\/span> des ailes ant\u00e9rieures et post\u00e9rieures sont fortement color\u00e9es de rouge, les implantations post\u00e9rieures ne le sont pas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
