Le nom de cette esp\u00e8ce, entr\u00e9e sur le site sous le nom de Macrogomphus guilinensis, a chang\u00e9 avec la publication dans Zootaxa en juin 2019 de New synonyms and a new subspecies of Macrogomphus Selys, 1858 (Odonata: Gomphidae) from continental south-east Asia<\/a><\/em>, Oleg Kosterin. Il s’est av\u00e9r\u00e9 que Macrogomphus guilinensis \u00e9tait un synonyme junior de Macrogomphus albardae.
Il y a au moins 3 Macrogomphus au Vietnam, dont Macrogomphus albarae.
Nous ne l’avons rencontr\u00e9 que le 3 juin 2018 sur une rivi\u00e8re, \u00e9missaire du barrage d’un petit lac, pr\u00e8s de Huu Lien<\/a>, dans le nord du Vietnam, \u00e0 environ 220 m d’altitude. Il ne s’est pas pos\u00e9…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son motif thoracique ainsi que ses appendices anaux bifides sont caract\u00e9ristiques.
Il mesure entre 53 et 57 mm pour l’abdomen (Odonata of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, part II: Anisoptera, Keith D. P. Wilson) soit une longueur totale d’approximativement 70 mm. Il n’est connu actuellement que du Guangxi (province chinoise juste au nord est du Vietnam) et du Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
