Libellula fulva m\u00e2le, Andrez\u00e9 sur le Beuvron (F-49), 01\/06\/23<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Depuis le d\u00e9but de la saison 2023, je suis stup\u00e9fait par le nombre de Libellula fulva que je rencontre. Il n’est donc pas surprenant d’en trouver, sur le Beuvron, tout petit affluent de l’\u00c8vre. Celui-ci se croit malin parce qu’il a accapar\u00e9 la seule bonne place au soleil, au-dessus de l’eau, sur ce segment de ruisseau tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l’ombre.
C’est sans compter sur la jalousie des autres odonates, anisopt\u00e8res ou zygopt\u00e8res, m\u00e2les ou femelles, petits ou grands (toutes les photos sont cliquables<\/em>, m\u00eame date et m\u00eame lieu, dans l’ordre chronologique).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si les photos de Calopteryx ci-dessous semblent quasi identiques, il faut imaginer qu’ils \u00e9taient plusieurs \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0attaquer\u00a0\u00bb ce m\u00e2le. Et que ces photos sont s\u00e9par\u00e9es de plusieurs secondes, ce qui laisse le temps soit de r\u00e9attaquer, soit d’\u00eatre remplac\u00e9 par un autre agresseur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quand on r\u00e9alise les tailles et les masses respectives d’un Libellula fulva et d’un Platycnemis pennipes on se demande ce qui pousse le zygopt\u00e8re \u00e0 chercher des ennuis… Tr\u00e8s \u00e9tonnamment, une femelle Calopteryx se m\u00eale au lynchage<\/em>, alors qu’elles sont en principe discr\u00e8tes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et il faut bien \u00eatre conscient du fait que je n’ai pas pu photographier toutes les agressions sur les 9 minutes que retracent ces premi\u00e8res photos; soit je n’ai pas eu le temps de r\u00e9agir, soit… les images sont trop floues. Une des animations de la page suivante s’intercale d’ailleurs dans cette timeline.
Alors qu’un m\u00e2le soit importun\u00e9 une fois, 2 fois, 3 fois m\u00eame, je l’ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9, mais cette agression constante est, pour moi, tout \u00e0 fait in\u00e9dite. Et les photos ci-dessous montrent bien diff\u00e9rentes actions de Libellula fulva, il ne reste pas pos\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je n’ai pas d’explication, sinon ce que j’ai \u00e9voqu\u00e9 au d\u00e9but de cette page, c’est-\u00e0-dire qu’il n’y avait vraiment qu’une seule bonne perche ; mais ce n’est pas l’habitude des Calopteryx de se percher sur des tiges nues au-dessus de l’eau, ni celle des Platycnemis pennipes.
Entre les 2 derni\u00e8res photos ci-dessous, on constate qu’il s’est \u00e9coul\u00e9 6 minutes, les agressions se sont poursuivies au m\u00eame rythme !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et puis finalement, pourquoi tant de violence; il y avait bien de la place pour 2 sur cette petite branchette, non ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
