J’ai d’abord cru que toutes les photos de cette page illustraient le m\u00eame individu. En effet, j’ai fait 2 s\u00e9ries de photos de Coenagrion ornatum femelle sur une p\u00e9riode de 10 minutes, sur 2 stations s\u00e9par\u00e9es de quelques m\u00e8tres seulement. Mais, un examen minutieux des taches sombres sur les tibias (!) m’a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu’il y avait bien 2 individus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sur une vue rapproch\u00e9e, la confusion avec C. mercuriale est impossible, on note les taches postoculaires tr\u00e8s fortement cr\u00e9nel\u00e9es, plus que celles des m\u00e2les et la forme particuli\u00e8re du pronotum : on voit tr\u00e8s bien ci-dessus et ci-dessous, dans l’\u00e9chancrure post\u00e9rieure du pronotum, le petit lobe color\u00e9 en bleu, lui-m\u00eame avec une tr\u00e8s l\u00e9g\u00e8re indentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’abdomen est \u00e9galement sp\u00e9cifique et m\u00eame s’il est proche de celui des femelles C. pulchellum, il s’en diff\u00e9rencie par les longs prolongement effil\u00e9s qui rejoignent les motifs des segments pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il existe 2 autres types de femelles de l’Agrion orn\u00e9 que je n’ai pas rencontr\u00e9es ; une forme bleue sombre d\u00e9pourvue de bleu \u00e0 la base des segments et comme pour nombre de Coenagrion femelle, une forme verte<\/a>. La forme bleue que j’ai contact\u00e9e est beaucoup plus commune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il faut finalement remarquer, si ce n’est la simillitude, au moins la tr\u00e8s grande ressemblance des pronotum des m\u00e2les<\/a> et des femelles ; pour ces derni\u00e8res le lobe post\u00e9rieur est moins large et indent\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
