J’ai eu un peu de mal \u00e0 identifier cette femelle, mais en lisant la description originale de Selys dans son Synopsis des Cordulines<\/em>, puis Records of the Northern Vietnamese Odonata Taken\u00a0by the Expedition Members from the\u00a0National Science Museum, Tokyo <\/em>( Syoziro Asahina, 1995) et aussi\u00a0A List of the Odonata Recorded from Thailand,\u00a0PartXVI,\u00a0 Corduliidae-Macromia\u00a0 <\/em>(Syoziro Asahina, 1987), j’en suis venu \u00e0 conclure l’identification avec certitude.
Les motifs thoraciques et abdominaux (partag\u00e9s par m\u00e2le et femelle) sont absolument conformes \u00e0 la description de Selys ou de Asahina, en particulier la largeur relative des diff\u00e9rentes marques jaunes sur l’abdomen ou le sinus ant\u00e9 alaire dont la coloration jaune tranche sur le thorax sombre. Et plus marquant encore est la coloration noire de cette femelle Macromia moorei, que souligne Asahina\u00a0 dans le 3\u00b0 document cit\u00e9, pour les sujets de la sous-esp\u00e8ce<\/em> malayana pr\u00e9sente en Assam, Tha\u00eflande, Myanmar, Malaisie, et ouest de la Chine. Asahina ne mentionne pas le Vietnam, ce qui est \u00e9tonnant, car Selys donnait pour distribution de l’esp\u00e8ce Himalaya, Bengale, Tonkin<\/em>, ce dernier correspondant \u00e0 la partie nord du Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selys avait bien not\u00e9 la diff\u00e9rence de coloration entre la partie inf\u00e9rieure du thorax \u00ab\u00a0rouge en bas, vert m\u00e9tallique en haut, sans raie hum\u00e9rale<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb comme on peut le voir ci-dessus, bien que cette sous-esp\u00e8ce montre plus de noir que de vert m\u00e9tallis\u00e9. Les ailes de cette vieille femelle sont fortement ambr\u00e9es ce qui est presque une constante des femelles Corduliidae.\u00a0
Le thorax porte lat\u00e9ralement une large bande jaune qui recouvre le stigmate m\u00e9tathoracique que l’on aper\u00e7oit sur la photo ci-dessous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asahina donne pour le m\u00e2le une taille de l’abdomen de 47 mm. Je ne peux pas, comme je le fais souvent, donner une taille totale \u00e0 partir de la mesure de l’abdomen, car on remarque que cette vieille femelle a d\u00fb conna\u00eetre des jours difficiles et que son abdomen est amput\u00e9 \u00e0 partir du 7\u00b0 segment abdominal… Il lui manque aussi une aile.
Son aire de distribution s’\u00e9tend de l’est de l’Inde au sud de la Chine (Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan) et \u00e0 l’Indon\u00e9sie, une tr\u00e8s large r\u00e9partition qui explique que Asahina d\u00e9nombre trois sous-esp\u00e8ces.

Nous l’avons trouv\u00e9 cach\u00e9e dans un arbuste au bord de cette rivi\u00e8re, peu avant une forte pluie\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
