Protosticta nigra est rest\u00e9e confondue avec Protosticta satoi jusqu’\u00e0 la publication par Tom Kompier de New species of Protosticta Selys from Vietnam with a key to the males of the P. curiosa group (Odonata: Platystictidae),\u00a0<\/em>Zootaxa 4193 (2). Jusqu’\u00e0 cette date, on d\u00e9crivait en effet pour P. satoi une forme claire et une forme sombre.\u00a0
Son nom d’esp\u00e8ce vient justement du fait que c’est cette forme sombre qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e au rang d’esp\u00e8ce en raison de fines diff\u00e9rences structurales, en particulier sur une vue dorsolat\u00e9rale des appendices anaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est en tout cas le seul que nous ayons vu \u00e0 montrer un thorax compl\u00e8tement noir.
Il mesure environ 48 mm.
On le trouve bien s\u00fbr dans le m\u00eame type d’environnement que P. satoi, c’est-\u00e0-dire pr\u00e8s des ruisseaux et rivi\u00e8res en sous-bois, parfois tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l’ombre (la photo de droite\u00a0: Iso 3200, F\/4, 1\/30s).
Sa r\u00e9partition g\u00e9ographique le limite pour l’instant au nord Vietnam.

\u00c9tymologie
Protosticta\u00a0<\/strong>(Selys, 1885), du grec\u00a0protos<\/em>,\u00a0premier<\/em>\u00a0et de\u00a0sticta<\/em>, forme latinis\u00e9e du grec\u00a0stiktos<\/em>, pour\u00a0tatou\u00e9, marqu\u00e9<\/em>, bien qu’il ne faille certainement pas y chercher un sens particulier se rapportant \u00e0 une ou des marques sp\u00e9cifiques, mais plut\u00f4t l’appartenance \u00e0 un famille d’insectes d’apparence voisine : Platysticta, Drepanosticta, Isosticta, Ceylonosticta, Sinosticta, Sulcosticta, Telosticta, Yunnanosticta, tous membres des Platystictidae. Selys dans \u00ab\u00a0Programme d\u2019une revision des Agrionines<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb (4) dans lequel il cr\u00e9e ce nouveau genre, pr\u00e9cise qu’il est tr\u00e8s proche, mais sans doute ant\u00e9rieur (premier<\/em>\u00a0dans l’\u00e9volution) aux Platysticta, car on note \u00ab\u00a0l’absence de rudiment du secteur inf\u00e9rieur du triangle<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Il est \u00e9vident que \u00ab\u00a0sticta\u00a0\u00bb s’est s\u00fbrement rapport\u00e9, \u00e0 l’origine, \u00e0 un d\u00e9tail de coloration particulier, pour un de ces genres, mais j’ignore lequel…
Nigra<\/strong>, du latin niger<\/em>, pour noir<\/em>, en raison de sa coloration sombre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
