Nannophlebia injibandi est une des 4 Nannophlebia que nous avons rencontr\u00e9s (4 esp\u00e8ces en Australie). Cela ne semble pas beaucoup parmi les 25 esp\u00e8ces que compte le genre, mais suffit \u00e0 rendre difficile l’identification. Elle se base sur la couleur des \u00ab\u00a0joues\u00a0\u00bb, l’examen des taches noires sur le 4\u00b0 segment et pour s\u00e9parer cette esp\u00e8ce de N. mudginberri sur le parall\u00e9lisme ou non des appendices anaux.
Malheureusement, dans The Complete Field Guide to Dragonflies of Australia<\/em> par G\u00fcnther Theischinger et John Hawking, si certains d\u00e9tails sont mis en \u00e9vidence pour une esp\u00e8ce, ils ne sont pas compar\u00e9s entre les 4 esp\u00e8ces … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et comme souvent avec les descriptions r\u00e9centes d’esp\u00e8ces australiennes, les descriptions originales ne sont pas accessibles gratuitement, les auteurs ne donnant pas acc\u00e8s libre aux chercheurs. Je livre donc ces photos sans pouvoir d\u00e9montrer l’identification ; elles (ou celles identiques de mes compagnons) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cependant valid\u00e9es par un sp\u00e9cialiste local (on peut \u00e9galement s’aider des dessins thoraciques qui ne sont d’ailleurs montr\u00e9s dans le livre d\u00e9j\u00e0 cit\u00e9 que pour N. mudginberri…).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La photo ci-dessous \u00e0 gauche montre les appendices anaux de profil, fortement recourb\u00e9s vers le haut (les d\u00e9bris qui pendent sont des f\u00e8ces).
\u00c0 droite, ces appendices appartiennent au sujet de la photo 4 et montre le parall\u00e9lisme des cerco\u00efdes, les appendices anaux sup\u00e9rieurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est end\u00e9mique d’Australie, peu commun et se rencontre en Australie-Occidentale, dans le nord du Territoire du Nord et l’extr\u00eame ouest du Queensland.

N’ayant pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la description qu’en a fait Watson, je ne connais pas sa taille exacte ; mais il est minuscule, comme tous les membres du genre (pour rappel, son cousin N. eludens mesure environ 28 mm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les femelles pr\u00e9sentent les m\u00eames motifs thoraciques et abdominaux, mais d’une fa\u00e7on g\u00e9n\u00e9rale leur abdomen est moins arqu\u00e9. C’est l’occasion de rappeler que les Australiens les appellent archtail<\/em>, en l’occurrence celui-ci est le Pilbara archtail<\/em>, Pilbara \u00e9tant une r\u00e9gion d’Australie-Occidentale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Nannophlebia<\/a><\/figure>
\n

Nannophlebia (1) est compos\u00e9 d\u2019un mot grec signifiant nain<\/em>, et de phlebia<\/em>, pour veine<\/em> (nervure). Selys a cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce nom de genre en signalant qu\u2019il est tr\u00e8s proche de Nannophya \u00e0 l\u2019exception de la veine basale.
Le nom comm\u00e9more la tribu Injibandi<\/em> qui occupait autrefois le haut-plateau adjacent \u00e0 Milstream.
