Coeliccia sasamotoi (Platycnemididae) n’est connu que de quelques localit\u00e9s au Vietnam et fait partie de la soixantaine de Coeliccia r\u00e9pertori\u00e9s, le genre le plus important de la famille des Platycnemididae.\u00a0
IUCN Red List <\/a>

Il est assez facile \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier des autres Coeliccia<\/a> bleus (7) que nous avons rencontr\u00e9s par la forme particuli\u00e8re des taches qu’il porte sur le thorax et en particulier sur sa face sup\u00e9rieure\u202f; cette tache occupe la moiti\u00e9 de la longueur et toute la surface en largeur, et son bord post\u00e9rieur est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement concave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les 2 photos ci-dessus ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 faites \u00e0 Xuan Son, le 9 juin 2018.
C’est une grande esp\u00e8ce, sans doute dans les 50 mm (je n’ai pas eu acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la description originale).
Toutes ces photos ont \u00e9t\u00e9 faites en for\u00eat dans le parc de Xuan Son, sur un sentier au long d’une rivi\u00e8re assez rapide et claire<\/a>, \u00e0 une altitude de 1550 m, ce qui correspond tout \u00e0 fait \u00e0 l’habitat classique de ces Coeliccia.
On note la position particuli\u00e8re des ailes au repos, ni ouvertes ni totalement ferm\u00e9es, une attitude commune, \u00e0 divers degr\u00e9s, \u00e0 tous les Coeliccia.

Les femelles sont \u00e9tonnamment diff\u00e9rentes, jaunes, avec en principe deux taches jaunes sur la face dorsale du thorax\u202f; un des deux seuls sp\u00e9cimens que j’ai observ\u00e9s \u00e9tait aberrant, m\u00e9lanique, et les deux taches jaunes sont\u00a0cach\u00e9es sous le noir du thorax sur la photo de droite.
