M\u00eame si ma petite mare donne le jour \u00e0 quelques zygopt\u00e8res, les anisopt\u00e8res ne fr\u00e9quentent qu’occasionellement mon jardin. Sauf en fin de saion, o\u00f9 tous les ans de vieux Sympetrum striolatum m\u00e2les et femelles viennent passer ce qui ressemble \u00e0 une retraite m\u00e9rit\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de la mi-septembre.
J’ai observ\u00e9 un moment cette femelle chasser depuis son perchoir, et comme elle restait vraiment fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa branche, j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 chercher mon appareil photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je me suis alors aper\u00e7u que son aile post\u00e9rieure droite semblait compl\u00e8tement ratatin\u00e9e<\/em>…
Bien souvent lorsqu’on observe ce genre de d\u00e9formation, on ne sait pas si la malformation est due \u00e0 un incident d’\u00e9mergence ou une attaque de pr\u00e9dateur.
Cependant, ci-dessous, en agrandissant l’image (clic !), on aper\u00e7oit que le bord post\u00e9rieur de l’aile est particuli\u00e8rement sinueux ; or cette sinosit\u00e9 est tout \u00e0 fait caract\u00e9ristique de l’\u00e9mergence, avant que leur aile ne s’expanse, comme on peut le voir sur ce sujet, premi\u00e8re photo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est donc probable qu’il soit survenu un incident pendant l’\u00e9mergence, un incident qui n’a affect\u00e9 qu’une large partie m\u00e9diane de l’aile, puisque la base semble normalement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e, tout comme une partie de l’extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 puisque le pt\u00e9rostigma<\/a> et les cellules terminales sont bien visibles. Ensuite, cette aile non fonctionnelle a du accrocher diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9bris, dont des fragments de toile d’araign\u00e9e.
Le terme ag\u00e9n\u00e9sie<\/em> alaire<\/em> est sans doute abusif, car l’aile est bien form\u00e9e dans la larve, ce n’est que sa crossance qui est entrav\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On voit d’ailleurs de temps en temps sur les sujets \u00e9mergent une goutte d’h\u00e9molymphe<\/a> verd\u00e2tre se former sur une aile, suite \u00e0 la rupture d’une nervure ; ces nervures sont en fait des veines (les anglosaxons les appellent d’ailleurs veins<\/em>) dans lesquelles l’h\u00e9molymphe<\/a> circule sous pression afin d’assurer l’expansion de l’aile. Ici, un exemple sur un Onychogomphus forcipatus \u00e9mergent<\/a>.
Si l’une est rompue, il est \u00e9vident que la partie de l’aile en aval ne pourra se d\u00e9velopper normalement.
En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, une aile atrophi\u00e9e ou m\u00eame absente<\/a> (ici, un Trithemis annulata) n’affecte que tr\u00e8s peu les performances de vol, car on les voit se nourrir ou s’accoupler tout \u00e0 fait normalement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
