Bavariae Regis Augustissimi, percato collegerunt Dr J. B. de Spix et Dr. C. F. Et effectivement, comme l&rsquo;\u00e9crit Perty, c&rsquo;est une tr\u00e8s petite esp\u00e8ce qui atteint donc environ 22 mm. Le nom de la d\u00e9esse de l\u2019ordre est particuli\u00e8rement bien adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 la taxonomie, science qui vise \u00e0 d\u00e9crire et ordonner les familles, genres et esp\u00e8ces. Ian Endersby (2) pense que le nom vient de l&rsquo;abdomen \u00e9troit \u00e0 la base (autour du corps), insistant sur une caract\u00e9ristique distinctive : \u00ab\u00a0abdomen much shorter than the wings, broad, depressed, narrower at base.\u201d<br><strong>Lais<\/strong>, je le suppose, n&rsquo;a pas de sens particulier et ne refl\u00e8te que la \u00ab\u00a0mode\u00a0\u00bb encore en vigueur en 1834, qui consistait \u00e0 donner aux odonates des noms issus de la mythologie ou de la l\u00e9gende. La\u00efs ou Lais est une courtisane grecque du&nbsp;iv<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle&nbsp;av. J.-C, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour sa beaut\u00e9. Tout comme <em>Thais<\/em>, autre courtisane grecque du iv<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;si\u00e8cle&nbsp;av.
