Gynacantha tenuis m\u00e2le, P\u00e9rou, ARC (Chino), 17\/08\/2023<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Gynacantha tenuis est un magnifique Aeshnidae qui ressemble beaucoup \u00e0 G. auricularis, mais ce dernier montre des auricules \u00e9normes, vraiment caract\u00e9ristiques. Je n’ai pu faire qu’une seule s\u00e9rie de photos, toutes sous le m\u00eame angle, il a aussit\u00f4t d\u00e9coll\u00e9…
Il mesure 58 \u00e0 61 mm.
Un de mes clich\u00e9s est un peu meilleur sur le plan des appendices anaux et on peut ainsi le comparer avec le dessin figurant dans la description originale (1) : m\u00eame si nous avons finalement convenu de l’identit\u00e9 de cette esp\u00e8ce, j’ai un petit fond de doute, car les appendices anaux sont diff\u00e9rents d’avec la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence. Le cerque de gauche para\u00eet arqu\u00e9, mais beaucoup plus que celui de droite, a-t-il \u00e9t\u00e9 tordu. Celui de droite semble encoch\u00e9 sur le bord interne (cass\u00e9 ?), au niveau de son premier tiers. La d\u00e9formation est donc peut-\u00eatre accidentelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous l’avons trouv\u00e9 en for\u00eat assez dense, sur un terrain mar\u00e9cageux, en compagnie de Uracis siemensis, Metaleptobasis sp. et Microstigma rotundatum.

On le rencontre sur le bassin de l’Amazone et son pourtour : Br\u00e9sil, Colombie, \u00c9quateur, Guyane Fran\u00e7aise, Guyana, P\u00e9rou, Trinidad et Tobago, Venezuela, Bolivie.

Gynacantha<\/strong><\/em> est form\u00e9 de 2 mots grecs signifiant \u00ab femelle ou femme \u00bb et \u00ab \u00e9pine \u00bb soulignant l‘\u00e9pine<\/em> que l\u2019on observe sous le 10\u00b0 segment abdominal des femelles des esp\u00e8ces de ce genre.
Tenuis<\/strong> du latin tenuis<\/em>, qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0mince<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Ce qualificatif s’applique au thorax de l’esp\u00e8ce, que Martin a trouv\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0tr\u00e8s \u00e9troit\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
