Argia kokama n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 simple \u00e0 identifier, faute de bonnes photos de ses appendices anaux.
Nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d’un ruisseau, sur la Terra Firme, la terre ferme (jamais inond\u00e9e par les crues de l’Amazone et de ses tributaires).
Partis en pirogue \u00e0 6 heures du Lodge de Tahuayo, nous avons remont\u00e9 le Rio Blanco<\/a>, \u00e0 faible vitesse le plus souvent, en raison du manque d’eau, pendant 3 heures, pour nous retrouver sur la terre ferme \u00e0 environ 10 km au sud-est<\/a> de notre base.
Et l\u00e0, c’est un vrai plaisir de progresser en for\u00eat sans \u00eatre dans la boue !

A 3 reprises, nous avons rencontr\u00e9 quelques m\u00e2les, tr\u00e8s ternes, curieusement marron, aux ailes \u00e0 peine ambr\u00e9es, avec de larges taches postoculaires plus ou moins polygonales et aux motifs abdominaux bien particuliers. Mais parmi les 146 Argia connus au Nouveau Monde, il y en a 28 au P\u00e9rou !
En \u00e9pluchant mes photos, je suis parvenu \u00e0 trouver une ressemblance avec les appendices anaux de A. kokama tels que dessin\u00e9s dans une publication de Natalia von Ellenrieder & Rosser W. Garrison (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La face dorsale des trois premiers segments abdominaux est bleue… un bleu violac\u00e9 tr\u00e8s terne, non loin du marron du thorax.
Mais la r\u00e9partition des couleurs est vraiment sp\u00e9cifique, avec un l\u00e9ger \u00e9tranglement sur le 2\u00b0 segment et des apex \u00ab\u00a0en pointe\u00a0\u00bb sur les 2\u00b0 et 3\u00b0. On en trouve qu’une seule photo ressemblante sur Inaturalist, une photo<\/a> de 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il mesure \u00e0 peine moins de 30 mm et n’est actuellement connu que du P\u00e9rou et de l’\u00c9quateur.

Il est curieux de noter qu’il a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit sous le nom de A. makok<\/em>a par Fraser en 1946 qui avait bien avait not\u00e9 la ressemblance avec A. kokama. Si on conna\u00eet l’\u00e9tymologie du nom kokama<\/em> (voir plus bas), je suppose, car je n’ai rien trouv\u00e9 de sens\u00e9, que Fraser a jou\u00e9 avec la ressemblance des individus et des noms (sans doute avait-il un doute en cr\u00e9ant cette nouvelle esp\u00e8ce).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Toujours est-il que les deux esp\u00e8ces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 synonymis\u00e9es par Natalia von Ellenrieder & Rosser W. Garrison dans le document d\u00e9j\u00e0 cit\u00e9 plusieurs fois (1).

Dans la mythologie grecque,\u00a0Argia<\/strong>\u00a0(1) est le nom de plusieurs personnages f\u00e9minins de la mythologie grecque ; il ne faut sans doute pourtant pas chercher de lien et il semble plut\u00f4t que Rambur ait choisi un nom de genre aussi pr\u00e8s que possible de Agrion, dont la nervation, dit-il, est similaire : \u00ab\u00a0par le pt\u00e9rostigma et les deux nervules du premier espace costal, ils se rapprochent des Agrion\u201d.
