Matrona taoi (Calopterygidae) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit r\u00e9cemment et doit son nom d’esp\u00e8ce \u00e0 Nguyen Thien Tao, du d\u00e9partement de biologie du mus\u00e9e national vietnamien de la nature, en remerciement de son soutien au premier auteur. L’holotype<\/a> provient d’ailleurs de Xuan Son.

Sur les rivi\u00e8res de ce parc, on rencontre \u00e9galement Matrona basilaris que j’avais pu observer au Laos\u202f; elle se diff\u00e9rencie de notre vietnamienne (en ce qui est visible sur mes photos) par la pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 la base des ailes d’une zone sur laquelle la nervation est blanch\u00e2tre sur une vue oblique. Ceci est bien visible sur cette photo<\/a>, surtout pr\u00e8s des veines costales.

Dans Matrona taoi spec. nov., a new damselfly species from northern Vietnam <\/em><\/a>(Odonata: Calopterygidae), QUOC TOAN PHAN & MATTI H\u00c4M\u00c4L\u00c4INEN, Zootaxa 2927: 63\u201368 (22 June 2011)<\/em> on peut aussi lire que la nervation de cette r\u00e9cente esp\u00e8ce est moins dense que celle de Matrona basilaris. Les ailes de ce dernier sont plut\u00f4t bleu m\u00e9tallique, celles de Matrona taoi plut\u00f4t marron. De plus, le 1\/3 apicale de l’aile ant\u00e9rieure de Matrona taoi est sub hyalin, c’est-\u00e0-dire presque d\u00e9pourvue de coloration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous n’avons pas pu l’approcher correctement\u202f; il ne se trouvait pas strictement dans son habitat (rivi\u00e8res aux berges dens\u00e9ment v\u00e9g\u00e9talis\u00e9es) mais en limite d’un espace ouvert, pendu comme on le voit \u00e0 une feuille et s\u00e9par\u00e9 de nous par un foss\u00e9 profond, \u00e0 l’ombre.
Il mesure un peu moins de 70 mm et, d’apr\u00e8s ce que je parviens \u00e0 savoir, il n’est connu que de cette petite zone du nord Vietnam (L’UICN ne conna\u00eet pas encore cette esp\u00e8ce).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
