Selys (1) a d\u00e9crit en 1876 Aeolagrion inca sous le nom de Leptagrion inca et c’est Racenis qui en 1959 l’a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au genre cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Williamson en 1917. Il ressemble \u00e9norm\u00e9ment \u00e0 A. dorsale<\/a> que nous avons \u00e9galement rencontr\u00e9. La diff\u00e9rence entre ces 2 esp\u00e8ces se situe, entre autres, au niveau de la bande bleue sur l’\u00e9pim\u00e8re m\u00e9sothoracique qui vient \u00ab\u00a0manger\u00a0\u00bb la bande ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rale noire dans sa partie post\u00e9rieure ; mais parfois ce n’est qu’une petite partie de la bande bleue qui semble se d\u00e9tacher vers le haut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il mesure environ 27 mm pour un abdomen de 22 mm.
Ils habitent l’ombre des zones bois\u00e9es autour des \u00e9tangs forestiers ou des \u00e9tangs form\u00e9s par le d\u00e9bordement des rivi\u00e8res importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On le rencontre en Argentine, Bolivie, Br\u00e9sil, P\u00e9rou, \u00c9quateur et Colombie.

Les femelles sont encore plus spectaculaires, car plus diversement color\u00e9e : on retrouve le r\u00e9tr\u00e9cissement de la bande ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rale noire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aeolagrion<\/strong> : si Agrion ne pose pas de probl\u00e8me, agrion<\/em>, du grec agrios<\/em> \u2013 vivant dans les champs, sauvage<\/em>, je suppose que la premi\u00e8re partie du nom de genre nous vient de Aeolus, le dieu grec du vent. Mais je ne sais pas pourquoi Williamson a introduit cette r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, rien n\u2019y fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans sa description.
Inca<\/strong>, Selys n’explicite pas son choix, mais il \u00e9crit que le sujet d\u00e9crit provient de Jurimaguas [Yurimaguas] au P\u00e9rou et cela suffit sans doute \u00e0 en faire un Inca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
