Nous aurions rencontr\u00e9 Triacanthagyna ditzleri \u00e0 3 reprises, m\u00e2le et femelle \u00e0 quelques heures d’intervalle le 16 ao\u00fbt puis, \u00e0 nouveau, une femelle, le 19 ao\u00fbt. Enfin, je suppose que c’est bien cette esp\u00e8ce et je suis oblig\u00e9 de suivre Tim Faasen qui n’a pas, \u00e0 ma connaissance, observ\u00e9 d’autre Triacanthagyna dans ses prospections r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es sur la zone. En effet, 3 esp\u00e8ces, T. carribea, T. satyrus et Triacanthagyna ditzleri pourraient \u00eatre pr\u00e9sentes dans cette zone et sont \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s indiscernables sur photo, m\u00eame avec de tr\u00e8s bons clich\u00e9s des appendices anaux…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Triacanthagyna ditzleri montre habituellement<\/em> deux rang\u00e9es de cellules (1) (2) \u00e0 la partie ant\u00e9rieure de la boucle anale (anal loop<\/a>) qui comporte \u00ab\u00a0normalement\u00a0\u00bb cinq cellules. Ce m\u00e2le<\/a> montre trois rang\u00e9es de cellules et neuf cellules dans la boucle anale…
Mais Ellenrieder et Garisson (3) ne mentionnent m\u00eame pas ces caract\u00e8res de nervation (souvent variables) dans leur cl\u00e9 qui repose sur les hamules, le lobe g\u00e9nital ou l’orientation d’une \u00e9ventuelle \u00e9pine sur les cerques…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce sont des habitants des for\u00eats humides qui montrent une activit\u00e9 essentiellement cr\u00e9pusculaire avec un vol particuli\u00e8rement erratique. Ils ont des yeux \u00e9normes adapt\u00e9s aux environnements \u00e0 faible luminosit\u00e9 avec des ommatidies particuli\u00e8rement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es. Le reste du temps, ils perchent verticalement, assez bas.
Les m\u00e2les mesurent environ 59 mm, ce qui en fait un des plus petits Triacanthagyna.
Les femelles pondent dans des mares ou marais dess\u00e9ch\u00e9s, qui se rempliront \u00e0 la saison humide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les femelles pr\u00e9sentent des motifs thoraciques et abdominaux similaires \u00e0 ceux des m\u00e2les et sont aussi spectaculaires.
Elles montrent en principe de longs appendices anaux sup\u00e9rieurs, aussi longs que les trois derniers segments, qui sont ici certainement cass\u00e9s, comme cela est apparemment fr\u00e9quent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces femelles ont \u00e9galement 3 cellules dans la premi\u00e8re rang\u00e9e de la boucle anale qui compte 9 cellules \u00e0 gauche, 10 \u00e0 droite. Ce nombre total de cellules semble tr\u00e8s variable puisque j’ai trouv\u00e9 un sujet de Guyane fran\u00e7aise avec effectivement deux rang\u00e9es de cellules \u00e0 la partie ant\u00e9rieure, mais tout de m\u00eame neuf cellules au total.

La r\u00e9partition de l’esp\u00e8ce s’\u00e9tend du sud du Mexique au Br\u00e9sil et \u00e0 la Bolivie, et jusqu’\u00e0 la Guyane Fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 l’est.

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong><\/span>
Triacanthagyna<\/strong> est compos\u00e9 du grec Tri<\/em> , pour –trois<\/em>, acantha<\/em> pour –\u00e9pine<\/em> et gyna<\/em> pour –femme<\/em>. En effet, les femelles de ce genre portent 3 \u00e9pines sous les derniers segments abdominaux, comme le montre le dessin ci-dessous. Selys qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le genre en 1883 \u00e9crit : \u201c\u2640. Le 10\u1d49 segment prolong\u00e9 en dessous en une plaque procombante arm\u00e9e de trois pointes aigu\u00ebs assez longues, \u00e9gales, dont les deux lat\u00e9rales un peu \u00e9cart\u00e9es.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
