Hetearina amazonica fait partie des 37 esp\u00e8ces de ce genre qui appartient au Calopterygidae. Il n’a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit au P\u00e9rou, mais Tim Faasen, sur son site Web, mentionne une femelle Hetaerina cf. amazonica ; je suppose qu’il pense que l’esp\u00e8ce est pr\u00e9sente, mais l’identification des femelles \u00e9tant tr\u00e8s d\u00e9licate, il n’a pas voulu conclure de fa\u00e7on absolue.
Quand on a de la chance, on identifie ces esp\u00e8ces, par la forme et l’\u00e9tendue de la tache basale alaire, la pr\u00e9sence et \/ ou l’\u00e9tendue de la tache alaire apicale et la pr\u00e9sence ou l’absence de pt\u00e9rostigma.
Malheureusement, dans de nombreux cas, cela ne suffit pas, car de nombreux sujets pr\u00e9sentent le type de taches (parfois variables d’un individu \u00e0 l’autre et avec l’\u00e2ge) que montre mon sujet et n’ont pas, comme ici, de pt\u00e9rostigma. Il faut alors, mais c’est de toute mani\u00e8re, la meilleure technique, comparer les appendices anaux. J’ai la chance d’en avoir fait une photo correcte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parmi tous les appendices anaux pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par R. W. Garrison dans son Synopsis du genre Hetaerina (1), ce sont ceux de Hetaerina amazonica qui sont les plus proches.
C’est une esp\u00e8ce certainement rare, ou en tout cas peu observ\u00e9e. Il y a 2 observations sur Inaturalist<\/a> (avant la mienne) mais aucune de celles d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sentes ne montre les appendices anaux, et rien ne permet de confirmer l’identification de ces photos.
Sj\u00f6stedt (2) nous dit qu’il mesure 39 mm.
Nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 sur un petit ruisseau d’une centaine de m\u00e8tres, entre un \u00e9tang, Cocha Bufeo, et la Tahuayo River en compagnie de Hetaerina laesa. L’holotype<\/a> a \u00e9t\u00e9 captur\u00e9 sur un ruisseau pr\u00e8s de Manaus au Br\u00e9sil.

Selon l’IUCN<\/a> l’esp\u00e8ce se rencontre au Br\u00e9sil, dans les \u00c9tats amazoniens, au Venezuela et au sud-est de la Colombie. Il est donc probable qu’elle soit aussi au P\u00e9rou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Hetaerina<\/a><\/figure>
\n

Hetaerina<\/strong> (3) est un genre cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Hagen, du grec \u2013 \u1f11\u03c4\u03b1\u03af\u03c1\u03b1 = compagnon, courtisane<\/em> et du suffixe \u2013 \u03b9\u03bd\u03cc\u03c2 \u2013\u03ae \u2013\u03cc\u03bd = se rapportant \u00e0\u2026, comme<\/em>. Hagen n\u2019explique pas ce choix, mais il est clairement en rapport avec la f\u00e9minit\u00e9, comme souvent pour les zygopt\u00e8res, comme puella<\/em> ou virgo<\/em>.

Amazonica<\/strong> ne vient certainement pas du latin amazonicus<\/em> qui signifie d’Amazone, des Amazones<\/em>, peuple mythique de femmes guerri\u00e8res, mais plus vraisemblablement du portugais amazonica<\/em> qui signifie amazonien, en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 l’origine de l’holotype<\/a>, pr\u00e9lev\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de Manaus, \u00ab\u00a0capitale\u00a0\u00bb de l’Amazonie.
