L'insecte atteint une longueur totale de 45 mm. Ce nom de genre, inexpliqu\u00e9 par l\u2019auteur, \u00e0 ma connaissance, vient peut-\u00eatre du latin\u00a0<strong>coelum\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0(ou\u00a0<strong>\u00ab\u00a0caelum\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>), qui signifie <em>ciel<\/em>\u00a0ou <em>c\u00e9leste<\/em>, et d\u2019un suffixe ou simple terminaison choisie pour l\u2019esth\u00e9tique ou la phon\u00e9tique. En effet, la premi\u00e8re esp\u00e8ce d\u00e9crite par Selys, Trichocnemis membranipes, est\u00a0<em>bleu-ciel<\/em>, pour toutes ses parties non noires.<br><strong>Didyma<\/strong>, du grec didumos qui signifie double, jumeaux. Je suppose que ce qualificatif se rapporte \u00e0 la double tache bleue port\u00e9e de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 du thorax (<em>Twin-spotted<\/em>...).
