Protosticta trilobata (Plastyctidae) est parfois consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme rare et difficile \u00e0 trouver. Le mieux \u00e9tant comme nous de \"tomber dessus\". Fraser l'a d\u00e9crit en 1934 dans \"New and rare odonata from the Burma-Siamese frontier\". Depuis, il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme assez r\u00e9pandu dans l'ouest de la Tha\u00eflande.
Il est tout \u00e0 fait spectaculaire par la longueur d\u00e9mesur\u00e9e de son abdomen, plus de 2 fois plus long que ses ailes\u202f; l'abdomen mesure 40 mm, l'aile post\u00e9rieure 18, ce qui donne une longueur totale de 46 mm.
Nous ne l'avons rencontr\u00e9 qu'\u00e0 deux reprises, ci-dessus \u00e0 Cao Bang, le long de la rivi\u00e8re<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La distribution de l'esp\u00e8ce a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9e par la publication de Tom Kompier en juin 2018, \" Protosticta curiosa Fraser, 1934 and its synonyms in Vietnam and China (Odonata: Platystictidae)\", o\u00f9 il montre que P. zenghi et P. albifrons sont des synonymes de Protosticta curiosa.
On le rencontre en Tha\u00eflande, au Myanmar, au Vietnam et en Chine o\u00f9 on d\u00e9crivait P. zenghi au Yunnan. Le site de l'IUCN n'est pas \u00e0 jour.
Non loin du premier m\u00e2le de Cao Bang, nous avons pu observer cette femelle \u00e0 l'abdomen plus \u00e9pais que celui du m\u00e2le ; je ne sais pas si c'est un effet d'optique, mais le ratio abdomen \/ ailes ne semble pas aussi spectaculaire que pour le m\u00e2le.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce n'est qu'en mai 2024, en Tha\u00eflande, lorsque j'ai rencontr\u00e9 \u00e0 nouveau l'esp\u00e8ce, que je me suis rendu compte qu'elle avait chang\u00e9 de nom ; en effet, au Vietnam, en 2018, nous l'appelions P. curiosa. Mais, en 2022, dans \"Taxonomic and faunistic notes on the genus Protosticta Selys, 1885 in Laos (Odonata: Zygoptera: Platystictidae)<\/em>\" (1) les auteurs en ont fait un synonyme junior de P. trilobata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
