Protosticta spinosa (Plastyctidae) est un des 9 Protosticta du Vietnam depuis sa description dans \u00ab\u00a0A study of the genus Protosticta Selys, 1855, with descriptions of four new species from Vietnam (Odonata: Platystictidae)<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0, par Phan & Kompier en 2016. Les auteurs y expliquent que le nom d’esp\u00e8ce souligne la forte \u00e9pine port\u00e9e par le m\u00e2le sur les cerques. Malheureusement, nous n’avons pas rencontr\u00e9 de m\u00e2le.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle se distingue des autres Protosticta par cette tache claire sous le 8\u00b0 segment abdominal, alors que les trois derniers segments sont noirs.
Nous l’avons trouv\u00e9 en limite de for\u00eat, \u00e0 quelques dizaines de m\u00e8tres d’une rivi\u00e8re.
La femelle mesure environ 44 mm et l’esp\u00e8ce n’est actuellement connue qu’au Nord Vietnam.

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong>
Protosticta\u00a0<\/strong>(Selys, 1885), du grec\u00a0protos<\/em>,\u00a0premier<\/em>\u00a0et de\u00a0sticta<\/em>, forme latinis\u00e9e du grec\u00a0stiktos<\/em>, pour\u00a0tatou\u00e9, marqu\u00e9<\/em>, bien qu\u2019il ne faille certainement pas y chercher un sens particulier se rapportant \u00e0 une ou des marques sp\u00e9cifiques, mais plut\u00f4t l\u2019appartenance \u00e0 un famille d\u2019insectes d\u2019apparence voisine : Platysticta, Drepanosticta, Isosticta, Ceylonosticta, Sinosticta, Sulcosticta, Telosticta, Yunnanosticta, tous membres des Platystictidae. Selys dans \u00ab\u00a0Programme d\u2019une revision des Agrionines<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb (4) dans lequel il cr\u00e9e ce nouveau genre, pr\u00e9cise qu\u2019il est tr\u00e8s proche, mais sans doute ant\u00e9rieur (premier<\/em>\u00a0dans l\u2019\u00e9volution) aux Platysticta, car on note \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019absence de rudiment du secteur inf\u00e9rieur du triangle<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Il est \u00e9vident que \u00ab\u00a0sticta\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019est s\u00fbrement rapport\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019origine, \u00e0 un d\u00e9tail de coloration particulier, pour un de ces genres, mais j\u2019ignore lequel\u2026
Spinosa<\/strong>, du latin spinosus, qui signifie dot\u00e9 d’\u00e9pine ou piquant et se rapporte au cerques du m\u00e2le, comme mentionn\u00e9 plus haut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
