Elle est assez variable et il a fallu 3 descriptions (ou 4, car il semble que Martin en 1904 a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une esp\u00e8ce Onychogomphus saundersii reprise et d\u00e9crite par Fraser) pour en venir \u00e0 bout (provisoirement ?)\u202f; d&rsquo;abord Fraser en 1926 qui l&rsquo;a initialement d\u00e9crit l&rsquo;avait plac\u00e9 par les Onychogomphus, Lieftink en 1963 l&rsquo;a d\u00e9plac\u00e9 dans les Phaenandrogomphus. K. Wilson et Z. Xu, ont synonymis\u00e9 Phaenandrogomphus chaoi et tonkinicus en 2001.<br>Moins de 10 minutes plus tard, en progressant sur un sentier le long de la rivi\u00e8re, nous avons eu le plaisir de nous trouver face \u00e0 un accouplement, bien \u00e0 l&rsquo;ombre d&rsquo;un escarpement rocheux. --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 932\/811;width:564px;height:auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/phaenandrogomphus-tonkinicus-accouplement-4.jpg 932w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/phaenandrogomphus-tonkinicus-accouplement-4-768x668.jpg 768w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 932px) 100vw, 932px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Phaenandrogomphus tonkinicus accouplement, Vietnam, Xuan Son, 08\/06\/2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">On le rencontre dans le sud de la Chine (Hainan, Yunnan, Fujian, Guangdong), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/2024\/10\/03\/phaenandrogomphus-tonkinicus-male\/\">en Tha\u00eflande<\/a>, au Laos et au Vietnam.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iucnredlist.org\/species\/171795\/6803130\">IUCN Red List<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c9tymologie<\/strong><br><strong>Phaenadrogomphus<\/strong>\u00a0est compos\u00e9 de 3 \u00e9l\u00e9ments :<br>\u2013 de\u00a0<em>phaino<\/em>\u00a0(\u03c6\u03b1\u03af\u03bd\u03c9), un mot grec qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0<em>montrer<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0\u00eatre\u00a0<em>visible<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0.<br>\u2013 du grec\u00a0<em>andros<\/em>\u00a0(\u1f00\u03bd\u03ae\u03c1, \u1f00\u03bd\u03b4\u03c1\u03cc\u03c2), signifiant \u00ab\u00a0<em>homme<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00a0\u00ab\u00a0<em>m\u00e2le<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0.<br>\u2013 de Gomphus, qui vient, aussi, d\u2019un mot grec qui signifie\u00a0<em>cheville<\/em>\u00a0ou\u00a0<em>boulon<\/em>, en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la forme de l\u2019abdomen (de la plupart des esp\u00e8ces), qui ressemble \u00e0 une\u00a0<em>cheville pour assembler les bateaux<\/em>.<br>Nous avons donc un Gomphus, qui montre qu\u2019il est un m\u00e2le, certainement en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux spectaculaires genitalia sous le 2\u1d49 segment du m\u00e2le, qui montrent aussit\u00f4t son sexe.<br><strong>Tonkinicus<\/strong>\u00a0est la forme latinis\u00e9e et adjectivale de\u00a0<em>Tonkin\u00a0<\/em>(<em>Nord Vietnam<\/em>) + \u2013<em>icus<\/em>, signifiant\u00a0<em>provenant de<\/em>\u00a0; l\u2019individu d\u00e9crit par Fraser provenant du Tonkin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:13px\">Fraser, 1926 &#8211;
