Prodasineura doisuthepensis (1) est un Platycnemididae (les Prodasineura \u00e9taient autrefois plac\u00e9s dans les Protoneuridae) de d\u00e9couverte r\u00e9cente, qui n’\u00e9tait connu que de Tha\u00eflande et exclusivement du Parc National Doi Suthep. Si sa distribution \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme excessivement limit\u00e9e, il ne serait pas rare localement. Nous n’avons pas eu ce sentiment, car nous n’avons vu qu’un seul individu dont j’ai fait des photos tr\u00e8s m\u00e9diocres.

En 2024, 8 esp\u00e8ces de ce genre sont connues en Tha\u00eflande, 38 dans le monde, depuis l’est de l’Afrique jusqu’aux Philippines.
Six esp\u00e8ces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crites depuis 2007, la derni\u00e8re, ce mois de d\u00e9cembre 2024, \u00e0 l’ouest de la Tha\u00eflande, Prodasineura sangkhla (Makbun, Ignatius & Phan, 2024).
Il est probable que le compte mondial soit encore modifi\u00e9 dans les ann\u00e9es qui viennent…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Prodasineura<\/a>

Il n’est pas possible de le confondre avec un autre Prodasineura, la face dorsale de son thorax \u00e9tant presque enti\u00e8rement couverte de bleu-ciel (mes photos sont irr\u00e9m\u00e9diablement surexpos\u00e9es). Si d’autres esp\u00e8ces ont ce type de coloration, elle n’est jamais aussi \u00e9tendue. Le plus proche est certainement Prodasineura collaris, pr\u00e9sent en Tha\u00eflande, dont la coloration sur la face dorsale est un peu plus limit\u00e9e et qui ne pr\u00e9sente de bleu que sur le 10\u00b0 segment, sans d\u00e9bordement sur S9, ici en Malaisie<\/a>.

C’est une esp\u00e8ce de rivi\u00e8re de montagne.
L’abdomen mesure 28.4 mm (1) soit environ 35 mm de longueur totale.
Tous les Prodasineura ont en commun le fait d’\u00eatre capable de rester tr\u00e8s longuement en vol stationnaire.

Depuis 2007, comme je l’ai \u00e9voqu\u00e9 plus haut, la connaissance des Prodasineura a beaucoup \u00e9volu\u00e9 et l’aire de distribution de cette esp\u00e8ce s’est consid\u00e9rablement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e ; il est certain que, dans le cas d’esp\u00e8ces tr\u00e8s voisines, d\u00e8s qu’une nouvelle esp\u00e8ce est valid\u00e9e, les sujets qu’on attribuait comme simplement variants d’une autre esp\u00e8ce (comme P. collaris) sont int\u00e9gr\u00e9es et l’aire de distribution s’en trouve rapidement augment\u00e9e. Il est donc pr\u00e9sent en Tha\u00eflande, mais aussi au Laos, au Cambodge et au Vietnam. IUCN Red List<\/a>.
Il reste tout de m\u00eame rarement vu car avant nos donn\u00e9es, il n’y avait que 15 observations sur inaturalist<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong><\/span>
Prodasineura<\/strong> (Cowley, 1934) (2) ; je ne suis pas parvenu \u00e0 trouver le document dans lequel Cowley s\u00e9pare ce genre des Disparoneura (Selys, 1860). Disparoneura signifie \u00ab\u00a0nervation \u00e0 part\u00a0\u00bb pour insister sur la particularit\u00e9 de celle-ci et Cowley conservant cette id\u00e9e, a cr\u00e9\u00e9 cette anagramme de Disparoneura, car ce genre pr\u00e9sente une nervation tr\u00e8s proche.
Doisuthepensis<\/strong> reprend le nom de la zone et du parc national o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert auquel est ajout\u00e9 le suffixe –ensis<\/em> signifiant \u00ab\u00a0originaire de<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Ren\u00e9 Hoess \u00e9crit (1)\u00a0\u00bbThe name derives from Doi Suthep, a mountain to the west of Chiang Mai, on the slopes of which the specimens where captured hovering over the narrow mountain stream Huai Kaeo<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. C’est dans ce parc que nous l’avons \u00e9galement contact\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
