Mortonagrion aborense m\u00e2le, Vietnam, Cuc Phuong, 14\/06\/2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sur une petite mare tr\u00e8s sombre du parc de Cuc Phuong, nous avons aper\u00e7u ce m\u00e2le Mortonagrion aborense, perch\u00e9 au bout d'une feuille, bien loin de nous...
Il mesure environ 30 mm, pour une aile post\u00e9rieure de 15 mm.
On le rencontre au bord des ruisseaux, en for\u00eat, sur les marais, \u00e0 l'ombre.

Sur une autre mare, juste \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9, et dans les m\u00eames conditions, la femelle \u00e9tait bien discr\u00e8te...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On le rencontre de l'Inde au Vietnam, en passant par le Myanmar, puis au sud, en Malaisie, Indon\u00e9sie, jusqu'\u00e0 Born\u00e9o et Sumatra.

En anglais, il prend le nom de Black Midget.

Je n'avais gu\u00e8re eu plus de chance avec cette esp\u00e8ce en Malaisie<\/a> o\u00f9 je l'avais d'abord confondu avec un Agriocnemis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c9tymologie<\/span><\/strong>
Mortonagrion<\/strong> (Fraser, 1920) est un hommage de Fraser \u00e0 Kenneth J. Morton, entomologiste \u00e9cossais, sp\u00e9cialiste des Odonates et des N\u00e9vropt\u00e8res. Agrion, du grec agrios<\/em> pour sauvage<\/em>, vivant dans les champs, est utilis\u00e9 presque comme un suffixe, pour un tr\u00e8s grand nombre de Coenagrionidae.
Aborense<\/strong> (1) ; Abor<\/em> ou Abor hills<\/em> est une r\u00e9gion de l'extr\u00eame nord-est de l'Inde, dans Arunachal Pradesh, o\u00f9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9 le premier sp\u00e9cimen. Le suffixe -ense<\/em> est ajout\u00e9 pour indiquer la provenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
