C’est toujours un plaisir de d\u00e9couvrir une telle beaut\u00e9; ce m\u00e2le Gynacantha subinterrupta (Aeshnidae) se tenait \u00e0 l’abri du feuillage d’un buisson au bord d’une mare du parc de Xuan Son. La veille d\u00e9j\u00e0, j’avais pu en photographier un, dans \u00ab\u00a0l’urgence\u00a0\u00bb sans d\u00e9clencher le flash, et les photos ne sont pas montrables, car il avait choisi de d\u00e9coller aussit\u00f4t. Tant pis pour lui \ud83d\ude42

C’est une esp\u00e8ce r\u00e9put\u00e9e active le matin et le soir et qui passe la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 l’abri dans les buissons, suspendue \u00e0 une branche basse.
Son abdomen mesure environ 50 mm avec les appendices anaux et sa longueur totale est d’environ 65 mm.

Sa distribution g\u00e9ographique est importante puisqu’on le trouve en Chine (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan et Hong Kong), dans l’est de l’Inde, au N\u00e9pal, au Myanmar, Laos, Cambodge, Tha\u00eflande, Vietnam et au sud jusqu’en Malaisie et Indon\u00e9sie.
