Chlorogomphus papilio est un des plus grands et des plus spectaculaires odonates qu’un amateur puisse rencontrer en Asie ; c’est un Graal des odonatologues et cette rencontre a \u00e9t\u00e9 un grand moment, tous en rond \u00e0 essayer de le photographier en vol, pendant plus de 20 minutes. Mais la b\u00eate est assez impr\u00e9visible et rapide… et parfois farceuse, elle profite du moment o\u00f9 vous regardez vos photos pour passer juste devant vous :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il mesure pr\u00e8s de 82 mm avec un abdomen de 57 \u00e0 59 mm et une envergure de pr\u00e8s de 140 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est une d\u00e9couverte assez r\u00e9cente au Vietnam, 2009, alors qu’il n’\u00e9tait connu que de plusieurs provinces du sud de la Chine ; \u00e9tant mentionn\u00e9 au Guangxi et au Yunnan, sa d\u00e9couverte n’est pas une surprise et Haruki Karube et Phan Quoc Toan ont officialis\u00e9 cette d\u00e9couverte dans \u00ab\u00a0Discovery of Chlorogomphus papilio Ris, 1927 from northern Vietnam<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb dans Tombo en mai 2016. Dans ce document, ils comparent les sujets chinois et vietnamiens et rel\u00e8vent des diff\u00e9rences, tout de m\u00eame minimes, dans la r\u00e9partition de la coloration.

Nous sommes repass\u00e9s sur le site, le 6 juin, soit 2 jours plus tard et un m\u00e2le a \u00e9t\u00e9 captur\u00e9 puis rel\u00e2ch\u00e9 dans la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, ce qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 d’autres photos :<\/p>\n\n\n\n
