Coeliccia flavostriata fait partie d\u2019un genre de la famille des Platycnemididae qui comporte actuellement 80 membres en Asie dont 15 \u00e0 Born\u00e9o, tous end\u00e9miques. Neuf esp\u00e8ces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crites, en Asie, en 2020, ce qui sous-entend que d’autres viendront certainement s’ajouter \u00e0 la liste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous les avons rencontr\u00e9s au d\u00e9but de notre s\u00e9jour, dans des conditions climatiques assez p\u00e9nibles, c’est-\u00e0-dire sous la pluie, bien s\u00fbr en for\u00eat et \u00e0 l’ombre.
Il appartient au groupe \u00ab\u00a0borneensis<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb dont six des membres pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 Born\u00e9o ont des marques thoraciques tr\u00e8s proches. On les diff\u00e9rencie par les marques bleues qu’ils portent sur le S9 et, bien entendu, les appendices anaux. Le spot bleu de Coeliccia flavostriata est r\u00e9duit, en triangle ou en losange, et parfois absent, sans doute pour les sujets \u00e2g\u00e9s.
Il est en tout cas tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent des autres Coeliccia que nous avons rencontr\u00e9s durant ce s\u00e9jour.

Ma photo \u00e0 droite ci-dessous semble bizarre en raison de la pr\u00e9sence d’eau entre les appendices anaux ; il pleuvait abondamment ce jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laidlaw (1) nous dit que la longueur de l’abdomen est de 35 mm, Dow (2) lui donne 31 \u00e0 37 mm sans les appendices, ce qui donne une longueur totale d’environ 41 mm.
Nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 en for\u00eat, en basse montagne, dans des foss\u00e9s, pr\u00e8s de ruissellements ou de petits torrents, toujours dans les parties sur lesquelles la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation est un peu moins dense que pour ses cousins C. nigrohamata<\/a> ou C. cf. nemoricola.
Nous n’avons pas rencontr\u00e9 de femelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si, de loin<\/em>, il para\u00eet color\u00e9, quand on s’approche, il est vraiment magnifique et on remarque ainsi son pronotum largement jaune et les curieuses marques jaunes et bleues qui semblent se d\u00e9tacher des ocelles lat\u00e9raux.
Sans parler des yeux qui montrent de riches teintes de bleu violac\u00e9 vers un d\u00e9grad\u00e9 jaune\/vert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est end\u00e9mique de Born\u00e9o et sa distribution est tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9e \u00e0 l’extr\u00eame ouest du Sarawak (autour de Kuching) et du nord-ouest du Kalimantan (2).

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong><\/span>
Coeliccia<\/strong> : Selys a d\u00e9crit la premi\u00e8re esp\u00e8ce du genre en 1863 sous le nom de genre pr\u00e9occup\u00e9 de Trichocnemis (col\u00e9opt\u00e8re longicorne) et c\u2019est Kirby qui a rectifi\u00e9 et cr\u00e9\u00e9 le genre\u00a0Coeliccia<\/strong>\u00a0en 1890. Ce nom de genre, inexpliqu\u00e9 par l\u2019auteur \u00e0 ma connaissance, vient peut-\u00eatre du latin\u00a0coelum\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0(ou\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>caelum<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>), qui signifie\u00a0ciel<\/em>\u00a0ou\u00a0c\u00e9leste<\/em>, et d\u2019un suffixe ou simple terminaison choisie pour l\u2019esth\u00e9tique ou la phon\u00e9tique. En effet, la premi\u00e8re esp\u00e8ce d\u00e9crite par Selys, Trichocnemis membranipes, est\u00a0bleu-ciel<\/em>, pour toutes ses parties non noires.
Flavostriata<\/strong>, du latin flavus<\/em> signifiant jaune<\/em> et de striatus<\/em> pour stri\u00e9<\/em>, \u00e9voquant ainsi, bien que Laidlaw n’en parle pas, les bandes jaunes de son thorax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
