Telosticta serapi appartient \u00e0 un genre d\u00e9crit en 2012 et qui compte 17 esp\u00e8ces, toutes end\u00e9miques de Born\u00e9o et de Palawan.
Ce genre a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour mettre de l’ordre dans la famille des Platystictidae et il faut dire que pour un amateur, il n’est pas facile de voir les diff\u00e9rences sur le terrain entre les Protosticta, les Drepanosticta et les Telosticta (d’ailleurs cette esp\u00e8ce avait \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 Drepanosticta ?dupophila<\/em>, par Dow et Reels en 2010).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dow et Orr, 2012, nous gratifient des photos comparatives de la face dorsale des thorax et ci-contre \u00e0 gauche sont ceux qui vivent \u00e0 l’ouest de leur aire de distribution (et donc au Sarawak).
Quatorze esp\u00e8ces de Telosticta seraient pr\u00e9sentes au Sarawak (2), deux autres pr\u00e9sentent le m\u00eame type de petites bandes ou taches ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rales mais celle de Telosticta serapi (en H ci-contre) sont les plus courtes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Il se distingue aussi par le fait que son huiti\u00e8me segment et une moiti\u00e9 de son neuvi\u00e8me sont bleus sur leur face dorsale.

T. dupophila et T. santubong pr\u00e9sentent la m\u00eame coloration du S9, mais pour le premier le S8 ne porte pas de bleu, pour le second s’il y a du bleu sur le S8, c’est sur les faces lat\u00e9rales.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Il mesure 30.5 mm pour l’abdomen (sans les appendices anaux) (1) ce qui donne approximativement une longueur totale de 38 mm.
On le trouve en for\u00eat, sur les ruisseaux en pente (donc en montagne) ; pour notre part, nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 au pied d’une petite chute d’eau, \u00e0 l’entr\u00e9e du Kubah National Park, puis le long d’une piste, toujours en for\u00eat, dans les foss\u00e9s<\/a> drainant l’eau des ruisseaux du Mont Matang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Telosticta serapi est uniquement pr\u00e9sent dans la cha\u00eene de Matang, dans la division de Kuching, \u00e0 l’ouest du Sarawak (1).

Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 Telosticta serapi en pr\u00e9sence de nombreux Coeliccia cf. nemoricola, Stenagrion dubium et Drepanosticta rufostigma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Telosticta<\/strong> est un nom f\u00e9minin, compos\u00e9 du grec \u03c4\u03bb\u03bf\u03c2, signifiant p\u00e9age, du nom de Jan van Tol, dont le nom de famille provient du mot n\u00e9erlandais de m\u00eame signification, en hommage \u00e0 ses contributions \u00e0 notre connaissance des Platystictidae, et du suffixe \u2013sticta, une terminaison g\u00e9n\u00e9rique courante dans la famille [des Platystictidae].
Serapi<\/strong> d’apr\u00e8s la localit\u00e9 de l’holotype<\/a>, Gunung Serapi, dans la cha\u00eene de Matang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
