Prodasineura notostigma (1) (Platycnemididae) fait partie d’un genre qui comporte 39 esp\u00e8ces et de nombreuses sous-esp\u00e8ces. Seize esp\u00e8ces (2) sont pr\u00e9sentes \u00e0 Born\u00e9o (2 non d\u00e9crites encore en 2013) dont 13 au Sarawak (3).
Certaines sont tr\u00e8s discr\u00e8tes, tr\u00e8s rarement contact\u00e9es avec une aire de distribution tr\u00e8s r\u00e9duite, d’autres sont communes, plus r\u00e9pandues, c’est le cas de ce Crescent Threadtail<\/em>, comme on l’appelle \u00e0 Singapour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il n’est pas difficile \u00e0 identifier en raison de la forme de la bande ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rale bleu clair, en forme de croissant (Crescent<\/em>), de sa face bleue et de son abdomen totalement noir \u00e0 l’exception d’une mince tache allong\u00e9e sur le deuxi\u00e8me segment.
Il mesure 34 \u00e0 37 mm (4) avec un abdomen excessivement fin.

Il fait partie de ces odonates sensibles \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re des flashs ; surtout \u00e0 celle des pr\u00e9-flashs, ce petit \u00e9clair \u00e9mis par le flash afin de jauger la quantit\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re \u00e0 \u00e9mettre pour exposer correctement le sujet et qui est invisible pour nous. Ce tr\u00e8s faible \u00e9clair provoque tr\u00e8s souvent un tressaillement de l’insecte ou son d\u00e9collage imm\u00e9diat et le flash principal le saisit alors en vol, et si on a de la chance, la photo est nette, ou presque, comme ci-dessous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On trouve Prodasineura notostigma en for\u00eat sur les rivi\u00e8res lentes. Ici, il se trouvait en compagnie de Telosticta santubong.
Sa distribution s’\u00e9tend \u00e0 travers la Malaisie et Singapour, jusqu’au nord-ouest de Born\u00e9o et \u00e0 Sumatra. Ici, en Malaisie<\/a> p\u00e9ninsulaire.

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong>
Selys a d\u00e9cit l’esp\u00e8ce dans le genre Alloneura. Hors ce nom de genre \u00e9tait pr\u00e9occup\u00e9 par un dipt\u00e8re d\u00e9crit par Rondani en 1856.
Prodasineura<\/strong> (Cowley, 1934) (2) ; je ne suis pas parvenu \u00e0 acc\u00e9der au document dans lequel Cowley s\u00e9pare ce genre des Alloneura (Selys, 1860). En tout cas, Cowley trouve le genre \u00ab\u00a0Alloneura, Selys<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb tr\u00e8s proche par la nervation des Disparoneura dont l’\u00e9tymologie signifie \u00ab\u00a0nervation \u00e0 part\u00a0\u00bb. Pour insister sur cette particularit\u00e9 et cette proximit\u00e9, il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 cet anagramme<\/em> de Disparoneura pour y placer les Alloneura.
Notostigma<\/strong> ; not<\/em>, en grec, pour le<\/em> dos<\/em>, et stigma<\/em> en latin, signifie marque au fer rouge<\/em> ou tache<\/em>, pour souligner la tache claire du deuxi\u00e8me segment sur un abdomen autrement noir. Selys \u00e9crit : \u00ab\u00a0Une tache \u00e9troite oblongue au 2″ segment…\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
