Ceriagrion sp. nov., son nom complet n’est pas encore d\u00e9voil\u00e9, sera la cinquanti\u00e8me esp\u00e8ce du genre, un genre pr\u00e9sent sur tous les continents, sauf en Am\u00e9rique.
Le Sarawak n’en comptait jusqu’alors que deux, C. cerinorubellum<\/a> (ici sur la P\u00e9ninsule Malaise) et C. bellona, que je n’ai vraisemblablement jamais vu et qui ressemble \u00e0 C. chaoi<\/a> (ici au Vietnam). Ceci pour dire qu’avec son abdomen rouge et son thorax vert, il ne ressemble \u00e0 aucun des deux autres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 \u00e0 deux reprises, dans le m\u00eame parc (nous \u00e9tions en pirogue<\/a>), \u00e0 la limite de la for\u00eat, sur les m\u00eames eaux noires, tourbeuses et acides. La seconde fois, le 29 mars, j’ai fait d’assez nombreuses photos dont je n’ai gard\u00e9 que celle ci-dessus ; la raison en est simple, j’ai d\u00fb utiliser mon boitier de secours avec un objectif tr\u00e8s bas de gamme destin\u00e9 aux paysages et photos de rues, car je suis tomb\u00e9 \u00e0 l’eau la veille, dans ces m\u00eames eaux, et ni mon boitier, ni mon objectif n’ont appr\u00e9ci\u00e9.

Connu depuis au moins 2015, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit, poss\u00e8de un nom (commen\u00e7ant par un \u00ab\u00a0r\u00a0\u00bb), mais d’apr\u00e8s ce que j’ai compris, toutes les nouvelles esp\u00e8ces malaises doivent recevoir l’approbation de leur nom de bapt\u00eame des autorit\u00e9s ; et ceci prend beaucoup de temps, d’autant qu’il faut ensuite une publication officielle revue par des pairs.
On trouve r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 l’esp\u00e8ce dans ce document de Rory Dow (1) qui date d\u00e9j\u00e0 de 2021 …

Il est end\u00e9mique du Sarawak et de Brunei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong>
Dans Ceriagrion<\/strong>, on retrouve le classique\u00a0Agrion<\/em>\u00a0cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Fabricius (1775) pour d\u00e9signer tous les Zygopt\u00e8res et qui vient d\u2019un mot grec signifiant\u00a0sauvage<\/em>, sans doute pour indiquer, d\u2019apr\u00e8s Fliedner (2006), qu\u2019on trouve ces insectes dans les champs et non dans un environnement domestique.
La premi\u00e8re partie du nom de genre vient d\u2019un mot latin,\u00a0Cerinus<\/em>, signifiant\u00a0couleur cire<\/em>, en rapport, selon (2) avec la coloration jaun\u00e2tre ou verd\u00e2tre. Personnellement, je pense qu\u2019il s\u2019agit, plut\u00f4t que d\u2019une question de couleur, d\u2019une notion de texture ; pour moi, c\u2019est r\u00e9ellement l\u2019aspect cireux du thorax qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 retenu pour d\u00e9signer le genre.
