Il est peu de dire que ce Platycnemididae, Elattoneura longispina, est rare. Avant nos photos, il n’existait que deux images de Marcel Sylvius, au Kalimantan, sur iNaturalist<\/a>. C’est d’ailleurs le seul sujet que nous rencontrerons.
Je connaissais le genre Elattoneura pour avoir contact\u00e9\u00a0E. glauca<\/a>\u00a0en Namibie ; j\u2019ai donc \u00e9t\u00e9 surpris de rencontrer d\u2019autres membres du genre au Sarawak. Mais, apr\u00e8s tout, Ischnura senegalensis, un autre zygopt\u00e8re, est aussi pr\u00e9sent en Afrique qu\u2019en Asie (et \u00e0 Born\u00e9o). Ceci pour dire que je n\u2019ai pas \u00e9t\u00e9 vraiment \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tonn\u00e9 que Rory Dow (1) place des guillemets autour du nom de genre :\u00a0\u00bb Note that the southeast Asian species currently placed in Elattoneura\u00a0certainly\u00a0do not belong there, but are left there until the issue of their true genus is resolved, so inverted commas are used around the genus name to emphasise this.\u00a0\u00bb.

C’est Rory Dow qui l’a trouv\u00e9 alors que nous progressions \u00e0 pied, apr\u00e8s avoir laiss\u00e9 les pirogues, dans la for\u00eat mar\u00e9cageuse et tourbeuse du Parc National Maludam. La for\u00eat n’est pas tr\u00e8s dense et il faut choisir son chemin pour progresser, \u00e0 travers la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, les branches mortes et les trous cach\u00e9es sous l’eau noire… Cela ne me r\u00e9ussira pas, un bain inattendu ruinera mon mat\u00e9riel photo, un quart d’heure apr\u00e8s ces photos.

Il est visuellement extr\u00eamement proche de E. analis<\/a> mais s’en distingue par diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9tails, entre autres une bande interoculaire incompl\u00e8te, l’absence quasi totale de marque (une tr\u00e8s fine ligne au plus) sur la face dorsale du S2, les derniers segments sombres (adultes), alors que la partie apicale de la face dorsale du S9 et le S10 sont clairs pour E. analis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lieftinck nous dit que son abdomen, appendices anaux inclus, mesure 28-29 m, il atteint donc environ 34 mm au total.

Sa distribution est tr\u00e8s localis\u00e9e, \u00e9parpill\u00e9e, en d\u00e9clin sur Born\u00e9o, B\u00e9litung et la Malaisie P\u00e9ninsulaire.

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong>
Elattoneura\u00a0<\/strong>(3) du grec\u00a0ellaton<\/em>, pour\u00a0plus petit,<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0neuron<\/em>\u00a0qui en entomologie est traduit par\u00a0nervure dans une aile<\/em>. Ceci en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la longueur r\u00e9duite d\u2019une nervure qui fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans la syst\u00e9matique des zygopt\u00e8res.
Longispina<\/strong>, du latin longus<\/em>, pour long<\/em> et de spina<\/em> qui signifie \u00e9pine<\/em>. Lieftinck n’\u00e9voque jamais la pr\u00e9sence d’une \u00e9pine ; il ne d\u00e9crit pas les appendices anaux non plus, mais en donne un dessin comparatif, qui montre une forte \u00e9pine bien individualis\u00e9e sur les appendices anaux inf\u00e9rieurs, certainement \u00e0 l’origine du nom d’esp\u00e8ce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
