La bande thoracique claire tend \u00e0 dispara\u00eetre pour les sujets tr\u00e8s matures, tandis que ce qui appara\u00eet comme une bande ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rale violac\u00e9e est un reflet tr\u00e8s bien venu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-2.webp\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1985\" height=\"1204\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-2.webp\" alt=\"Onychargia atrocyana m\u00e2le, Sarawak, Kampung Temelan, 22\/03\/2025\" class=\"wp-image-26638 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1985px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1985\/1204;width:614px;height:auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-2.webp 1985w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-2-768x466.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-2-1536x932.webp 1536w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1985px) 100vw, 1985px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Onychargia atrocyana m\u00e2le, Sarawak, Kampung Temelan, 22\/03\/2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Il mesure 30 \u00e0 32 mm (3).<br>Son habitat est constitu\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9tangs ou de mares tr\u00e8s v\u00e9g\u00e9talis\u00e9es aux limites mar\u00e9cageuses, souvent en limite de for\u00eats.<br>Les m\u00e2les matures ont l&rsquo;habitude de se percher haut dans la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, \u00e0 plusieurs m\u00e8tres du sol, ce qui explique qu&rsquo;ils soient moins fr\u00e9quemment observ\u00e9s hors des actions de reproduction. Mais on trouve sur iNaturalist des photos de nombreux m\u00e2les jeunes et de femelles, qui sans doute errent ou maturent dans la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation basse.<br>C&rsquo;est une esp\u00e8ce qu&rsquo;on dit assez commune, mais ce n&rsquo;\u00e9tait que la quatri\u00e8me fois que je la rencontrais ; comme d\u00e9j\u00e0 dit, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re fois que j&rsquo;observais des m\u00e2les isol\u00e9s (sans aucune femelle autour !), et je n&rsquo;ai jamais rencontr\u00e9 plus de 3 ou 4 individus sur un seul site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3.webp\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2191\" height=\"1204\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3.webp\" alt=\"Onychargia atrocyana m\u00e2le, Sarawak, Kampung Temelan, 22\/03\/2025\" class=\"wp-image-26639 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 2191px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 2191\/1204;width:654px;height:auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3.webp 2191w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3-768x422.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3-1536x844.webp 1536w, https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Onychargia-atrocyana-male-3-2048x1125.webp 2048w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 2191px) 100vw, 2191px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Onychargia atrocyana m\u00e2le, Sarawak, Kampung Temelan, 22\/03\/2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ci-dessus un sujet plus jeune avec une spectaculaire bande claire thoracique.<br>Sa distribution s&rsquo;\u00e9tend du centre de l&rsquo;Inde au sud la Chine (Yunnan) et sud, \u00e0 travers la P\u00e9ninsule Malaise et Singapour, jusqu&rsquo;au Sarawak et Sabah et aux Philippines.<br>On trouvera d&rsquo;assez mauvaises photos dans les pages que j&rsquo;avais consacr\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;esp\u00e8ce au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/voyages\/cambodge\/onychatroc\/onychatrocy.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cambodge<\/a> et en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/voyages\/malaisie\/onychargia-atrocyana\/onychargia-atrocyana.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Malaisie<\/a> continentale et de meilleurs en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/blog\/2025\/11\/12\/onychargia-atrocyanaen-tandem\/\">Tha\u00eflande<\/a>.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iucnredlist.org\/species\/163675\/138282281#geographic-range\">IUCN Red List<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c9tymologie<\/strong><br><strong>Onychochargia<\/strong> ; du grec <em>onycho<\/em> qui signifie <em>ongle<\/em> ou <em>griffe<\/em>, et de <em>argia<\/em>, un genre de zygopt\u00e8re sud-am\u00e9ricain (dont le nom avait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment cr\u00e9\u00e9 comme une variante de <em>agrion<\/em>). En d\u00e9crivant le <em>sous-genre<\/em> Onychochargia, Selys (4) insiste sur les onglets des tarses (griffes) :\u00a0\u00bbles deux branches des onglets des tarses aussi longues l&rsquo;une que l&rsquo;autre\u00a0\u00bb &#8211; \u00ab\u00a0Les onglets des tarses tr\u00e8s singuliers comme chez les libellules du genre Macromia\u00a0\u00bb. De plus, il d\u00e9crit ce genre \u00e0 la suite des Argia, pensant qu&rsquo;il appartient \u00e0 un <em>sous-genre<\/em> de ces derniers (noter d&rsquo;ailleurs la densit\u00e9 des \u00e9pines des pattes qui rappellent effectivement le genre Argia).<br><strong>Atrocyana<\/strong>, du latin <em>atrum<\/em> pour <em>noir<\/em> et du grec <em>kuanos<\/em> pour <em>bleu<\/em> sombre.
