Encore un Coeliccia tr\u00e8s \u00e9l\u00e9gant avec un fort contraste entre le noir de son abdomen et de sa t\u00eate et le jaune tr\u00e8s vif de son thorax et de son dernier segment abdominal.
Je l’avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 rencontr\u00e9 au Laos<\/a> en sous-bois inond\u00e9. Ici, il se trouvait sur un talus presque au bord de la route, non loin d’une rivi\u00e8re assez large, ravag\u00e9e par des travaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il porte tellement de jaune sur le thorax qu’il faut de la bonne volont\u00e9 pour le confondre avec un autre, le plus proche \u00e9tant peut-\u00eatre Coeliccia scutellum<\/a>. Noter le dernier segment et les appendices anaux clairs ; les ailes semblent encore brillantes, c’est sans doute un jeune sujet dont la maturation de la coloration n’est pas termin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’IUCN nous dit qu’on le rencontre en Chine (sans plus de pr\u00e9cisions, mais j’imagine qu’il n’est pr\u00e9sent que dans l’extr\u00eame sud), au Myanmar, au Laos et donc au Vietnam.

[Je n’ai pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 trouver la description originale de Selys qui avait nomm\u00e9 l’esp\u00e8ce Calicnemis chromothorax et c’est Kirby, en 1890, qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce genre.]
En 2024, alors que je fais des recherches pour les odonates observ\u00e9s en Tha\u00eflande, j’ai fini par mettre la main sur la publication de Selys (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
