Une seule rencontre avec quelques individus de Elattoneura nigra, Platycnemididae, \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 d’un ruisseau encaiss\u00e9<\/a>, passant sous la route, en milieu bien ouvert.
Elattoneura est un genre important avec 45 esp\u00e8ces dans le monde, 30 en Afrique et au moins 4 au Ghana. Il est \u00e0 noter que les esp\u00e8ces asiatiques font sans doute partie d’un autre genre\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 les 4 esp\u00e8ces attendues. Elattoneura nigra ne pose pas de probl\u00e8me d’identification, les autres ont soit les pattes orange, comme E. girardi, soit sont pruineux, voire tr\u00e8s pruineux sur la face dorsale du thorax comme E. villiersi ou E. balli. Aucun autre ne montre ces yeux magnifiques, sombres et stri\u00e9s de deux lignes bleues.
Kimmins nous dit que son aile post\u00e9rieure mesure 16 mm, son abdomen 26 mm soit une longueur totale d’environ 32 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon l’ADDO<\/a> (parfois difficile \u00e0 atteindre puisque le site est hors ligne et que le lien est une web.archive<\/em>), E. nigra fait partie du groupe glauca<\/em> qui comprend des esp\u00e8ces que l’on rencontre en for\u00eat-galerie ou en for\u00eat ouverte ; nos sujets \u00e9taient vraiment \u00e0 la limite de la \u00ab\u00a0for\u00eat\u00a0\u00bb, ou plut\u00f4t de plantations de palmiers \u00e0 huile, \u00e0 la sortie d’un village<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On rencontre l’esp\u00e8ce dans la Savane soudanienne, <\/em>soit de la Gambie et du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal au Nigeria, jusqu’en Ouganda, \u00e0 travers le Cameroun, la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo et le Congo.
IUCN Red List<\/a>.

\u00c9tymologie<\/strong> Elattoneura nigra

Elattoneura<\/strong> du grec ellaton<\/em>, pour plus petit,<\/em> et neuron<\/em> qui en entomologie est traduit par nervure dans une aile<\/em>. Ceci en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la longueur r\u00e9duite d\u2019une nervure qui fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans la syst\u00e9matique des zygopt\u00e8res. Voir Suhling & Martens (2007).

Nigra<\/strong>, du latin niger, noir. Kimmins \u00e9crit : \u00ab\u00a0General colour black\u00a0\u00bb. Son nom commun anglais est d’ailleurs Black threadtail<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
