Orthetrum albistylum pr\u00e9dation Pyronia tithonus<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a fallu une dizaine de minutes \u00e0 cet Orthetrum albistylum m\u00e2le pour d\u00e9vorer un Amaryllis<\/em>, dont le nom scientifique est Pyronia tithonus (Nymphalinae, Satyrinae). Ce papillon \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s commun sur le site.
Le plus \u00e9tonnant \u00e9tait la pr\u00e9sence de 7 ou 8 Orthetrum albistylum m\u00e2les et femelles ; c'est pourtant un odonate peu commun dans ma r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 le cort\u00e8ge des Orthetrum est archi domin\u00e9 par O. cancellatum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La taille ou plut\u00f4t l'envergure de ce papillon est tr\u00e8s variable selon les sources ; son aile ant\u00e9rieure atteint 16 \u00e0 21 mm, son envergure est donn\u00e9e pour 35 \u00e0 45 mm.
Quant \u00e0 l'Orthetrum \u00e0 stylets blancs, il mesure 45 \u00e0 50 mm au total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le probl\u00e8me quand on mange un papillon c'est qu'on s'en met partout : les \u00e9cailles color\u00e9es se prennent dans les soies qui couvrent quasiment toutes les parties du corps des odonates et \u00e0 la fin de son repas, l'odonate s'est livr\u00e9 \u00e0 une toilette soigneuse, en insistant sur les yeux ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
