Swampwatcher male, Vietnam, Huu Lien, 03\/06\/2018<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

D\u00e9crit par Rambur sous le nom de Libellula congener dans Histoire Naturelle des Insectes, N\u00e9vropt\u00e8res, Potamarcha congener (Swampwatcher) a rejoint le genre Potamarcha d\u00e9crit par Karsch, genre qui ne contient que deux esp\u00e8ces.
Ce Libellulidae est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme commun dans son aire de r\u00e9partition, de l’est de l’Inde \u00e0 Hong Kong et au sud jusqu’en l’Australie, mais nous ne l’avons rencontr\u00e9 que deux fois, et je n’ai que ces deux photos. Mais, je l’avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 rencontr\u00e9 au Laos<\/a>, au Cambodge<\/a> et en Malaisie<\/a>.
IUCN Red List<\/a>

Il mesure moins de 45 mm et est un adepte des eaux calmes.
La femelle montre de curieux appendices sous S8, leur implication dans la ponte reste discut\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
