Le temps et bien moyen, peu d&rsquo;odonates sont actifs si ce n&rsquo;est 5 ou 6 Orthetrum albistylum que je m&rsquo;amuse \u00e0 photographier en vol.<br>Alors que j&rsquo;ai \u00e0 peine eu le temps d&rsquo;apercevoir une femelle Orthetrum en ponte, celle-ci est captur\u00e9e par un m\u00e2le qui aussit\u00f4t tente de s&rsquo;accoupler, sans succ\u00e8s, ils repassent 2 fois devant moi et j&rsquo;ai la chance de faire une photo.<br>Ce n&rsquo;est que sur l&rsquo;ordinateur que je me suis aper\u00e7u de la m\u00e9prise du m\u00e2le, car il s&rsquo;agit bien d&rsquo;une femelle O. cancellatum. <br>J&rsquo;ai vu le couple se s\u00e9parer quelques secondes apr\u00e8s la photo sans qu&rsquo;il y ait eu d&rsquo;autres tentatives de copulation ou de ponte.<br>Je n&rsquo;ai jamais vu d&rsquo;autres tandems d&rsquo;Orthetrum \u00ab\u00a0en erreur\u00a0\u00bb et il est tout de m\u00eame \u00e9tonnant que je sois tomb\u00e9 \u00e0 2 reprises sur les 2 m\u00eames protagonistes&#8230;<br><br>Ces tandems h\u00e9t\u00e9ros sp\u00e9cifiques ne sont pas rares, mais m&rsquo;\u00e9tonnent toujours tellement on met en avant les formidables capacit\u00e9s visuelles des odonates quand il s&rsquo;agit de rep\u00e9rer des proies par exemple&#8230; Ils ne seraient pas capables d&rsquo;identifier les \u00ab\u00a0bonnes\u00a0\u00bb femelles au premier coup d&rsquo;\u0153il ?<br>Corbet dans Behaviour and Ecology of Odonata cite Tennessen (1982) et Utzeri et Belfiore (1990,  Tandem anomali fra Odonati Odonata ) qui \u00e9crivent que ce comportement pourrait \u00eatre expliqu\u00e9 par le fait qu&rsquo;il serait plus avantageux pour les m\u00e2les de saisir la premi\u00e8re femelle un peu ressemblante et de  la rel\u00e2cher apr\u00e8s en cas d&rsquo;erreur, que de prendre du temps pour l&rsquo;identifier et risquer de se devancer par un concurrent.<br><br>N&rsquo;y a-t-il pas simplement quelques mal voyants parmi les odonates ?  \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En <strong>ao\u00fbt 2022<\/strong>, j&rsquo;ai eu le plaisir de faire le m\u00eame type d&rsquo;observation. Ce n&rsquo;est bien s\u00fbr pas tr\u00e8s commun, mais en juin 2023 une publication identique sur Facebook a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e, toujours les m\u00eames partenaires, m\u00e2le O. albistylum x femelle O. cancellatum.<br>Finalement, ces observations dans le Tarn sont beaucoup plus surprenantes que dans le Maine-et-Loire o\u00f9 O. albistylum est peu commun et O. cancellatum largement dominant, et m\u00eame extr\u00eamement courant sur certains plans d&rsquo;eau;
