La visite sur l’un des sites les plus nordiques en France h\u00e9bergeant Calopteryx haemorrhoidalis a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’occasion de rencontrer 7 ou 8 Orthetrum coerulescens au long d’un petit ruisseau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et c’est toujours un plaisir pour moi d’observer cette esp\u00e8ce puisque dans mon Maine et Loire les Orthetrum cancellatum sont beaucoup plus abondants. A vrai dire je ne connais pas un seul spot ou je suis certain de le trouver, comme d’ailleurs pour son cousin O. brunneum (quoique…).
Certains \u00e9taient de jeunes adultes avec les bandes ant\u00e9hum\u00e9rales claires bien visibles, d’autres plus \u00e2g\u00e9s avec le thorax commen\u00e7ant \u00e0 se recouvrir de pruine comme le sujet ci-dessous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tous les sujets ci-dessus ont les yeux bleu-vert, et la face et le front bruns, cette face brune qui permet (entre autres) de le diff\u00e9rencier d’Orthetrum brunneum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et j’ai eu la surprise d’en trouver un (ci-dessus) avec le front color\u00e9 exactement dans la m\u00eame teinte que ses yeux, loin en tout cas du brun habituel. Juste une curiosit\u00e9, sans doute un maquillage pour attirer les femelles ? \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
