\u00c0 vrai dire, ce n’est que sur l’\u00e9cran de l’ordinateur au retour que je me suis aper\u00e7u que mon identification initiale ne collait pas et que j’avais affaire \u00e0 Africallagma subtile\u202f; je ne m’\u00e9tais d’ailleurs pas attard\u00e9 sur la d\u00e9termination de l’esp\u00e8ce, ce qui m’avait attir\u00e9 \u00e9tait surtout la position curieuse des ailes, semi-ouvertes, \u00e9tonnante pour un Coenagrionidae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Africallagma subtile femelle, Namibie, Rundu, 11\/02\/2020<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sur la base de la forme des taches postoculaires, je pensais avoir affaire \u00e0 une curieuse femelle Ischnura senegalensis, mais en regardant de plus pr\u00e8s, je me suis aper\u00e7u que les pt\u00e9rostigmas n’avaient pas la forme caract\u00e9ristique de ceux des Ischnura.
Il s’agit d’une femelle Africallagma subtile, seul repr\u00e9sentant de l’esp\u00e8ce, et m\u00eame du genre, que nous apercevrons durant ce s\u00e9jour. L’esp\u00e8ce est tr\u00e8s rare en Namibie, tr\u00e8s discr\u00e8te, et ne semble \u00eatre connue que sur 2 sites dont celui ou je l’ai trouv\u00e9e, une mare pr\u00e8s de Rundu, \u00e0 une centaine de m\u00e8tres de l’Okavango.
Le m\u00e2le mesure environ 30 mm Il prend le nom de Fragile bluet en anglais.
Les mares temporaires aliment\u00e9es par les pluies, bien et m\u00eame dens\u00e9ment v\u00e9g\u00e9talis\u00e9es avec herbes et roseaux sont son habitat pr\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel.
On le rencontre du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal \u00e0 l’\u00c9thiopie au nord, absent du Gabon et du Congo, il se limite au sud, au nord de la Namibie, au nord du Botswana et au sud du Mozambique, sans atteindre l’Afrique du Sud.

\u00c9tymologie<\/span><\/strong>
Africallagma<\/strong> est compos\u00e9 d’une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au continent africain et de Enallagma, du grec enallax<\/em> \u2013\u00a0altern\u00e9, se succ\u00e9dant<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0agma<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 fragment<\/em>, qui pourrait \u00e9voquer l\u2019alternance de marques bleues et noires du thorax.
Charpentier a imagin\u00e9 le terme Enallagma comme \u00ab\u00a0changeant\u00a0\u00bb ou peut-\u00eatre \u00ab\u00a0variant\u00a0\u00bb, pour regrouper tous les Coenagrionidae europ\u00e9ens pour lesquels la coloration de l\u2019abdomen des m\u00e2les est bleue avec des marques noires, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire l\u2019actuel esp\u00e8ce\u00a0Enallagma<\/em>\u00a0mais aussi les\u00a0Coenagrion<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0Erythromma lindenii<\/em>. Il voulait que le nom soit compris comme \u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 risque de confusion\u00a0\u00bb en raison de la similarit\u00e9 des esp\u00e8ces.
