Dans la r\u00e9gion de Namibie que nous avons prospect\u00e9e, il y a 3 Pseudagrion tr\u00e8s voisins, P. assegaii, P. nubicum et Pseudagrion coeleste. S'il est facile de s\u00e9parer P. coeleste de P. assegaii par la forme du motif en S2 (en \"U\" ou en forme de \"fer de lance\"), il n'en est pas de m\u00eame pour P. nubicum.
Mais P. nubicum, consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme rare en Namibie, n'est pas cens\u00e9 se trouver dans les zones que nous avons prospect\u00e9es...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pseudagrion coeleste m\u00e2le, Nambiei, Katima Mulilo, Wenela border post, 16\/02\/2020<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Pseudagrion coeleste mesure 32 \u00e0 38 mm selon les sources. Son dessin noir sur le 2\u00b0 segment abdominal lui fait prend le nom de Catshead Sprite en anglais.
C'est une esp\u00e8ce de rivi\u00e8re dont il fr\u00e9quente les zones v\u00e9g\u00e9talis\u00e9es et mar\u00e9cageuses.

On le rencontre en Afrique de l'Est, de l'extr\u00eame sud de la Tanzanie au nord-est de l'Afrique du Sud. Plus \u00e0 l'ouest, \u00e0 travers la Zambie et le Zimbabwe, il atteint le sud de l'Angola, le nord du Botswana et la bande de Caprivi en Namibie.

Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 de nombreuses femelles qui pr\u00e9sentent le gros avantage de porter le m\u00eame habit color\u00e9 que les m\u00e2les, ce qui simplifie grandement l'identification.

Le sujet de gauche est photographi\u00e9 dans ma main, car je l'ai rep\u00each\u00e9e alors qu'elle d\u00e9rivait sur l'Okavango \u00e0 Rundu le 11\/02\/2020.
\u00c0 droite, la femelle qui fait admirer la complexit\u00e9 des motifs de sa face a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise dans la zone centrale Mahango du Parc National de Bwabwata le 20\/02\/2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les motifs sombres qu'elles portent sur le 8\u00b0 et 9\u00b0 segment, deux petits triangles, sont \u00e9galement diagnostics de l'esp\u00e8ce, ce qui permet, pour une fois, d'identifier les femelles immatures. Certains (rares, semblent-ils) sont plus m\u00e9laniques et les triangles sont fondus en un seul.

Voir les couples en reproduction, en ponte ou en tandem comme ici est souvent la meilleure solution pour avoir une id\u00e9e de l'apparence des femelles, m\u00eame si dans ce cas l'identification ne pose pas de probl\u00e8me en raison de leur androchromie.

Pseudagrion (1) du grec ancien,\u00a0pseudo\u00a0\u2013faux, erron\u00e9,\u00a0et d\u2019agrion, ceci, comme l\u2019\u00e9crit S\u00e9lys, pour t\u00e9moigner de la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u00e9parer ce genre des Agrion ; \u00ab\u00a0les Pseudagrions semblent tr\u00e8s voisins des vrais Agrions\u00a0\u00bb. Agrion, du grec\u00a0Agrios\u2013\u00a0sauvage, vivant dans les champs.
Coeleste, vient du latin caelestis<\/em> qui signifie c\u00e9leste<\/em> ou ciel<\/em>, et a certainement \u00e9t\u00e9 choisi en raison du bleu ciel dominant de l'esp\u00e8ce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
