Fin janvier 2020 nous avons appris que ce Ceriagrion n’\u00e9tait C. bellona mais C. chaoi et les doutes que j’exprimais quand j’ai r\u00e9dig\u00e9 cette page prennent toute leur valeur.<\/strong> Mais restons tout de m\u00eame prudent car pour moi Ceriagrion chaoi a les yeux rouges ou au moins la partie sup\u00e9rieure des yeux rouges…
Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 Ceriagrion chaoi sur une unique\u00a0mare du Parc de Xuan Son<\/a>, le 8 juin pour les m\u00e2les, le 9 juin 2018 pour la femelle. Des 4 Ceriagrion que nous avons rencontr\u00e9s le plus proche de C. chaoi est C. aurantiacum mais ce dernier n’a pas de marques sombres sur les derniers segments abdominaux et la face dorsale de son thorax n’est pas brune mais de la m\u00eame couleur que\u00a0les flancs de son thorax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asahina dans sa r\u00e9vision des Ceriagrion asiatiques d\u00e9crit 2 \u00ab\u00a0esp\u00e8ces\u00a0\u00bb de C. bellona (bellona bellona et bellona hoogerwerfi) \u00e0 partir de sujets de Born\u00e9o et de Sumatra, sujets qui pr\u00e9sentent des marques sombres bien d\u00e9limit\u00e9s sur les segments 8 et 9, et m\u00eame 7 pour le second. Ce n’est pas vraiment le cas du n\u00f4tre qui pr\u00e9sente cependant des appendices anaux tr\u00e8s proches de l’esp\u00e8ce d\u00e9crite avec des cerques tr\u00e8s fin et pointus, nettement plus longs que les cerco\u00efdes. S’agit-il seulement d’une variation g\u00e9ographique ou d’une autre esp\u00e8ce…

Les femelles sont bien diff\u00e9rentes et si elles montrent des marques tr\u00e8s sombres sur les 4 derniers segments le reste de la face dorsale de l’abdomen est marron. Il mesure environ 37 mm (30 pour l’abdomen) .

Pour L’IUCN Ceriagrion Bellona ne se rencontre (pour l’instant… ) que sur les mares et foss\u00e9s d’Indon\u00e9sie et Malaisie (et l’IUCN avait donc raison!).
Mise \u00e0 jour en F\u00e9vrier 2020<\/em>; Ceriagrion chaoi se rencontre au Myanmar, Tha\u00efland, sur la p\u00e9ninsule Malaisienne (ou je l’avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9 avec ses yeux rouges…), et donc au Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
