C'est James Holden, dans la r\u00e9gion de Cao Bang (tr\u00e8s au nord du Vietnam, juste au sud de la province chinoise du Guizhou), qui a d\u00e9couvert Burmagomphus magnus qu'il a pris en photo le 4 juin 2018 pendant notre s\u00e9jour. Nous sommes repass\u00e9s sur le m\u00eame site<\/a> le 6 juin 2018 (altitude 269 m) et avons retrouv\u00e9 un repr\u00e9sentant de cette nouvelle esp\u00e8ce pour le Vietnam sur cette rivi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C'est une esp\u00e8ce r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9crite : Zhang, Hao-Miao, Kosterin, Oleg E., Cai, Qing-Hua (2015) : New species and records of Burmagomphus Williamson, 1907 (Odonata, Gomphidae) from China. Zootaxa 3999 (1) \u00e0 partir de sujets de la province du Yunnan, au nord du Vietnam. Son nom d'esp\u00e8ce souligne le fait que c'est un des plus grands Burmagomphus, il atteint 53 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
