Nous avons observ\u00e9 Burmagomphus vermicularis, au moins 3 sujets diff\u00e9rents dont un\u00a0sujet \u00e9mergent, \u00e0 Cao Bang, le 6 juin, sur le site m\u00eame ou nous avons aussi rencontr\u00e9 B. magnus,\u00a0une rivi\u00e8re<\/a>\u00a0assez large bord\u00e9e d’arbres, au fond tapiss\u00e9 de sable ou de cailloux et au courant mod\u00e9r\u00e9, ce qui est leur habitat typique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un sujet s’est m\u00eame pos\u00e9 sur un des observateurs qui aurait lui aussi bien voulu le photographier !  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces 2 Burmagomphus, magnus et vermicularis sont assez diff\u00e9rents et faciles \u00e0 identifier\/s\u00e9parer par leurs motifs thoraciques ; B. vermicularis porte un \u00ab\u00a0V\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 l’envers sur la face lat\u00e9rale du thorax, que l’on voit mieux sur la premi\u00e8re photo.
Il mesure environ 41 mm (37 \u00e0 45 mm) et se rencontre depuis le nord du Laos et du Vietnam jusqu’\u00e0 Ta\u00efwan \u00e0 travers le sud-est de la Chine.

Burmagomphus<\/strong> est form\u00e9 de\u00a0Burma<\/em>, pour\u00a0Birmanie<\/em>\u00a0souvent appel\u00e9e\u00a0Myanmar<\/em>\u00a0et de\u00a0gomphus<\/em>\u00a0qui vient d\u2019un mot grec qui signifie\u00a0cheville<\/em>\u00a0ou\u00a0boulon, en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la forme de l\u2019abdomen (de la plupart des esp\u00e8ces), qui ressemble \u00e0 une\u00a0cheville pour assembler les bateaux<\/em>. En effet, l\u2019esp\u00e8ce type, qui a servi \u00e0 la description du genre cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Lieftinck, est justement\u00a0Gomphus vermicularis<\/em>, d\u00e9crite par Martin, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un individu qu\u2019on lui avait adress\u00e9 de Birmanie.
Vermicularis<\/strong>, du latin vermiculus<\/em> qui signifie petit vers<\/em> auquel est ajout\u00e9 le suffixe –aris<\/em> signifiant en forme de …<\/em>

Son nom local anglais est Dog-legged Clubtail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
