Asiagomphus auricolor est un magnifique Gomphidae, un des trois Asiagomphus que nous avons observ\u00e9 pendant cette prospection. C’est un genre difficile pour lequel Tom Kompier a fait une r\u00e9vision des 8 esp\u00e8ces jusqu’ici rencontr\u00e9es au Vietnam, en 2020 dans Zootaxa<\/a>.
Il est facile \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier de A. acco dont l’abdomen est essentiellement noir. Il ressemble beaucoup plus \u00e0 A. pacificus<\/a>. Il est le plus commun dans le nord du Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce qui semble le plus \u00e9vident \u00e0 un profane est la quantit\u00e9 de jaune, ou plut\u00f4t de coloration non noire sur les deux premiers segments. Ils sont principalement jaunes (ou verts) avec 2 touffes de soies de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 du S1, la coloration noire est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 la partie distale du S2 alors que pour A. pacificus ces deux segments sont travers\u00e9s par une large bande noire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous l’avons rencontr\u00e9 dans un marais ouvert, \u00e0 une cinquantaine de m\u00e8tres d’une rivi\u00e8re en for\u00eat.
