Il y a 3 Davidius au Vietnam, mais le plus proche de Davidius fruhstorferi est D. monastyrskii, esp\u00e8ce r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9crite, qui montre des appendices anaux inf\u00e9rieurs sombres et non clairs comme ici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons rencontr\u00e9 seulement un m\u00e2le ci-dessus (on note que les ailes post\u00e9rieures du m\u00e2le sont d\u00e9coup\u00e9es \u00e0 leur base comme pour toutes les esp\u00e8ces portant des auricules) et une femelle, les deux photos ci-dessous, tous au long d’un chemin forestier bord\u00e9 par un ruisseau encaiss\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On les rencontre au nord de la Tha\u00eflande, au Laos, au Vietnam et dans le sud de la Chine. IUCN Red List<\/a>.
Martin dans sa description originale (Liste des N\u00e9vropt\u00e8res de l’Indo-Chine. Mission Pavie Indo-Chine, Paris 3 : 204-221.) pr\u00e9cise qu’il fait la m\u00eame taille que Davidius nanus. Or Davidius nanus a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit par Selys (Secondes additions au synopsis des Gomphines) sous le nom de Hagenius ? nanus<\/em> et Selys pr\u00e9cise que l’abdomen de la femelle mesure 28 mm ce qui lui donne une taille totale d’environ 38 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
